Mobile Filmmakers 2006 Awards Finalists Announced
The 12 finalists from Mobile Filmmakers 2006 were flown to Singapore to attend an intensive workshop in where they had the opportunity to learn more about mobile filmmaking techniques from experts in the industry, and to familiarize themselves with the wide range of mobile film functions of the Nokia N93, which they will be using to shoot and submit their final entries. Each finalist received a Nokia N93 mobile phone.
The Grand Prize is USD$10,000 and the chance to work with Discovery Networks Asia for a three-month period, during which he or she will be involved in the process of documentary filmmaking. The contest was open to individuals of legal age who are residing in the following countries: Australia, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
