I just want to point out how risky this can be considering the future…

Say that you choose to change the product code to something else and then Nokia later decide to take the current product code away from NSU since they notice many people are changing this code….what will you do then if your phone goes dead?

You can no longer update the phone via NSU and if you turn to a Nokia servicepoint they will notice that your product code in the phone is different compare to the one on the label on the backside of the phone…this means that they most probably will deny to give you service since you have done something with the phone that isn´t allowed.

nice info but i’d rather not risk my perfectly working n73 by doing this. it,s so risky and for what? just added added features which i can do away with anyway. but still, it’s great info.

OK did everything above and as it began doing the update it came up saying pdate failed. It downloaded the update then began transfering to the phone and got about 90% of the way and that was it update failed tried several times over and still it stuck at the same point.

Now my phone wont respond. I was give the option to cancel the update (retry or cancel) and retry led to the same result and cancel, still left the phone in the blank screen.

Now i am unable to revive it.

Well I got solutions
Changed my Product Code to 0539295
Reinstall the update meaning the whole files are downloaded and the phone is updated and now i have English, Arabic and French Languages with Music Edition.
Found my product code under the battery so after updating i Fix it back.

Mark Guim thanks for answering. I have updated my hp to internet edition now. Its a combination of both n73 and n73 me, it rocks and i dun think i would want to restore it back to normal n73 since the media key is working as before. Cheers…!

Hey big props to the guy that found this out. Just did my update last night, and everything works perfectly. I did on dial up connection as well, it took about 6 hours, but it worked. Anyone no a faster way to add album art that 1 song at a time

Ok, here is my story. Tryed to update, battery wasnt full, but phone was connected to charger. And on like 5% of updating i get Update failed error. Screen on a prone wasnt on. Couldnt switch it on. I tryed to unplug power and data cable. And i heard sound then u connect/disconnect some usb device. And i decided to press Retry, bcoz Concel wasnt my option . Next thing, it started update agane, and i get another error, same Failure, but on 40% of installation. Retry …. another one at 80-85, Retry, one more error, and next message was Your phone was updated succesfully, now u can start using your phone Believe it or not, it works fine now. And im happy So dont panic, if u get this error, just try to retry the update!!! It does help!!!

i updated n73 to n73me and all was fine except the music button above the “C” key stopped working, anyone else encountered this?

anyway, i updated to n73ie and multimedia key which was music key in me is now working fine.

maybe the there is a bug with the music key in me because when pressed not only did nothing happen, but there was no key sound either even though all of the other keys made sound when pressed……

i updated my n73 and 6630 to MUSIC Edition and its ROCK, i also managed to to change back 6630 product code to orginal code and downgraded to standerd frimware v6.0.3.08 and works fine with no bug or error,

Updated my phone after days of deliberation i took the plunge.. and now i have a BRAND new rocking N73 Music Edition.. Thanks for all the help.

After download when update starts you will get a notification that a new cable has been installed then the entire process will take around 10-15 mins during this time you will here the usb connected and disconnected windows sound ignore that… The progress bar will proceed till around 80%.. its all good. Finally around 80% it will get stuck for a few mins donot worry.. then it will say PHONE UPDATED !!

Couple of tips

1) Ensure that your phone is in general profile
2) DONOT touch the phone/cable while update is going on
3) Keep the charger plugged in all the time
4) Take a backup of all the data
5) Do the backup on either on Saturday or Sunday night . This is because in case it becomes a brick u can go down to Mobile repair shop and get it reflashed .
6) In case the update failed.. KEEP RETRYING..
7) If something is not working properly after the update.. do an update again.

Go ahead enjoy ur new phone

I followed the instructions how to upgrade to the musical edition N73 but my music player is not the same as showed an when i press *#0000# it shows v 3.0638.0.0.1 not the same as the music one which ends in 30 whats the best way to get it changed can someone help me please so i get the music functions on my N73 thanks

Anybody do this update who are on the network ’3′ in the UK?
I updated my phone using this guide and it works perfectly. I’m much happier then I was with it before although I’ve noticed the camera problems but anyways……. what I wanted to ask was this:
Whenever I buy something through the 3 site on my phone [planet 3] it downloads, completes then my phone tells me there has been a certificate errors and whatever I’ve bought doesn’t install. I got my N73 upgraded to ME successfully following the steps mentioned above. Thanks a lot for that. But I can’t see much of a difference from the earlier version. Any opinions?

I get the same as Raj ‘Products Dir(’products’)…….Not Found.’
and it doesnt read the phones product code number. shows the imei number and phone version. tried searching but no luck on how to solve. so unsure if its sw prob or driver prob or cable. i flummoxed

ive updated my n73 to arabic music edition..
the sound seems slightly better …theres no big changes however..only 2 new themes…

but the fone is somehow slower than old n73 ….or at least thats whayt i feel..

the font isnt as clear as the original n73 ?

A few week after my update to the N73 ME, i find my phone losing the time and date everythime i take it off. I don’t know if it has to do with the update (Which i doubt). Has this happened to anyone and can you help me fix it.

i changed the code using NSS…ok.
then i try to update the phone and the pc suite immediately shuts off->software updater doesn’t fIND TEH FUCKIN’ PHONE.

I have an original N73 and i just update the firmware yesterday (original firmware)…Now im trying to update it to N73 Music Edition and goes me to no update available since my firmware is fully up to date…Btw previously I tried to update it from orig to ME edition and it works ..but coz of curiosity i update it back to original..now i want to go back to ME and it doesn’t work anymore (firmware fully up to date)..Helping me for this matter is fully apreciated…and thanks for such info and it helps..

in my case, “starting application” in the NSU goes for a long period of time (15mins and more) like nothing is happening. is this normal??

i lost my patience and took a risk of unplugging my phone, and thank God nothin bad happened.

i also tried to run the NSU without my phone plugged in, and the same crazy thing happened.

just wondrin if there something wrong with the file (NSU) ive downloaded, but it seems that it was installed properly.

Well i got to say the only thing i regret is the font that the internet edition has is pooh ! i dont like it at all , is there anyway of changing back to the Standard n73 or getting to fonts changed on the handset , its not that i dont like the Internet Edition its just that the fonts are killing me and i am very happy with how much quicker the handset works.
Would it be a case of changing the handset back to the euro 1 standard code and would this include the updates.

So before start to update i read all the risk & the worth if success carefully.
After knowing what will i do with my New N73 life, i choose to update it in the middle of the night due to local connection best speed just around 45kb.
When the update begin i am shock & feel dizzy to know that till full update need 63.3MB,which mean i nead 5 hours to finnished it with 45kb speed.Don`t want to regret it by pressing cancel or unplug the usb i try to calm down and continued the update with a very hard feeling ofcourse.
That night be my very very very loooong night ever,cant sleep all the night,felt sooooo unwell like people when breaking heart. ^_^ .Try to ease the feeling with my PS3,some comics & DVD movie with hope will felt sleep at least feel sleepy, but it dont work.The feeling going worse when in the 3rd hours of updating time.
So with haste when to living room to check if anything still ok with the update.And Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit i found my comp self restart cause by short electric with mean the Internet connection also disconected.
Watching that in front of my bed room door i felt all my body paralyze.With unhope,frustating and all complicated complication feeling for a second before i close my body to the computer.
With carefully i pick my phone and check it.
And Woooouwwwwwwwwwwwwww…………Lucky my phone still running like nothing happend.This is the 2nd weeks from the time i try to update my phone and it still run perfectly.
That experience made me love my N73 soooo much cause it not made me to spend more mony for another new mobile & also teach me how to thanks and please with what i had, ^_^

So with haste when to living room to check if anything still ok with the update.And Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit i found my comp self restart cause by short electric with mean the Internet connection also disconected.
Watching that in front of my bed room door i felt all my body paralyze.With unhope,frustating and all complicated complication feeling for a second before i close my body to the computer.
With carefully i pick my phone and check it.
And Woooouwwwwwwwwwwwwww…………Lucky my phone still running like nothing happend.This is the 2nd weeks from the time i try to update my phone and it still run perfectly.
That experience made me love my N73 soooo much cause it not made me to spend more mony for another new mobile & also teach me how to thanks and please with what i had, ^_^

I was hesitate and scared at first, but the temptation got me to do it last night..After holding my breathe for 10 mins, it was successfully updated to the ME. I’m loving it so far. Just order the OEM nokia N73 ME case too. Thanks Mark and everyone for the input.

This time just passing by, looking for a people experiment in updating the mobile. Cause some time the story will be quite funny., Like mine when my comp self restart at the 3rd of 5 hours of updating time.
Can thee imagine how many guts & patient must I have to updating the 63.3MB file with just maximum & unstable 45kb local connection speed that time?.
(Still can read the story above)
Now don’t have a gut to try to updating my still uses N73 mobile anymore, still will feel dizzy if trying to toughs what have I done with my N73 a month ago.
Just can’t think off, why much people choose to take the risk to kill the phone if failure occur in updating rather to sold the old & buy a new one.
I thought the Nokia product resale price won’t too fall from the new one as long as the mobile type or series not more than 3 month.
(Than to buy a new one with a new budget if brake down, isn’t it?)

i did everything like described above, after 75% flashing the phone the updater suddenly stopped and said “firmware update failed”.

I thought i trashed my phone but after restart everything went fine ..strange hmmm

@Andrew Burgin you didnt click the box next to WRITE in nemesis service suite. i acctually updated it to ME, no problems, but i don’t think that phone is louder. also, i don’t know, what is the point of LOUDNESS function-sound sucks and it’s not LOUD. and yes, in new version, you can’t get out of music player thru equalizer.one more question.

@Alfredo – you just need to change your product code to Euro 1 or Euro 2 with NSS and then upgrade your phone with NSU. Once you have completed the upgrade, the phone will start with English language but you can easily change to Italian through the “Settings” menu. Ciao!

For your ref, the product codes for N73 ME for English and other Euro languages are:

Hello! I recently updated my N73 to FW 3.0638.0.0.1. It appears to work fine, but all I get now is a “connection error”! Then I changed the product code to update it do ME, but the same message appears and I can’t make and receive calls anymore! There’s a way (even risky) to downgrade to the previous version? V2.0628.0.0.1? Thanks a lot!

I took what precautions I could – fully charged handset, restarted handset, checked cables in properly, rebooted PC before operations, unloaded all programs like Instant Messenger, Bittorrent and anything else that is likely to hijack focus and processor cycles at a critical moment. Hi Jimbob – I also upgraded to ME using Euro 1 code and I have PTT under the folder “Tools”. Maybe you just checked under “Applications” and did not see it. PTT is also not of any use to me here in India though – as it is not provided by any of the GSM operators out here as yet..

I got my N73 upgraded to M.E sometime back. A few days after that, I get it updated with v3.0649.0.0.31. But now, I cannot kill the music player application. If I want to shut the application down, I have to restart the phone. Has anyone else oberved this problem? Is there a solution to this?

3- Then Connected my phone to computer with the standard USB cable came with the phone in the package.
4- My computer detected the phone and installed the softwares of phone.
5- Opened the Nemesis Service Suit.
6- Clicked on the “Scan for New Device” on the right upper corner.
7- Clicked the “Phone Info” tab.
8- Clicked the “Scan” tab.
9- Clicked the “Read” tab. there appeared the old (Original) product code of the phone.
10- Then deleted the original product I.D. 0529785 and wrote the new 0539295 ( English, Arabic & French) and marked the box “Enable” in front of the product I.D. box.
11- Then clicked the tab “Write” and the code was changed.
(Here i want to suggest a very important thing. After doing this all procedure close the Nemesius Service Suit and then again run the same procedure. This is necessary because many people are unable to change the code correctly and therefore unable to update the software. So it is a necessary thing to be sure that product code is changed.)

Nothing happens to phone untill all the update is completed. i mean 71.3 MB is downloaded and if phone is disconnected or net is diconnected or battery goes off, nothing happens to phone because the updated files are downloaded to your computer first not to the phone. After complete downloading of update files (71.3 MB) then these files are installed in the phone, at this momment your phone should not be disconnected or battery should be fully charged. Here i am giving you an excellent way, when your phone is detected by the Nokia Software Updater, and updating is started, your computer will show your phone disconnected, remove the USB cable from the phone and keep it aside. Now when 70.0 MB files are downloaded, again connect your phone to the USB cable and now there are no risks and problems. Be Happy all…)
17- Then i changed my product I.D. back to original (0529785) with the help of Nemesis Service Suit.
18- Then i bought a Black Casing of Nokia N73 Music Edition of just PK Rs. 1000/= and a HS 21 headset of Nokia 3250 with remote control of just PK Rs. 800/=.
19- Changed my casing by easily removing face plate with the help of two credit cards as told in this forum.
20- Removed the 6 screws on the sides with T6 key. Then removed the LCD. It was difficult but then i found an easy way. I used a common pin to remove the locks from sides and LCD was removed very easily without any problem or damage.
21- Removed the 7th screw below the LCD and then changed my all the parts and my casing changing was complete. NOw it was Original Nokia N73 Music Edition. (Great)
22- Headset HS21 with remote control of Nokia 3250 gives extraordinary sound quality and the Stereo Widening Effect gives the feeling of listning music in a big room with the best Stereo System in full volume…

the main problem is that u people dont stop the music player. stop it be pressing the joystick downwards and then press back, then there will appear the tab phone. press the phone tab, u will be able to get out of the music player… very easy yaar…

However, I would not recommend disconnecting the phone (i.e removing the usb cable from your computer etc..) during the process. You can read my earlier post dated 5 Feb. I am from India and I successfully updated my phone to ME earlier this month.

I suggest you try with the Euro 1 product code 0537289 which has English, French, German, Italian etc.. as the language options in the software. For this product code, firmware version V 3.0649.0.031 07-12-2006 is available and I was able to successfully upgrade to this.

Please remember that you must have power backup for your PC / laptop, phone should be fully charged and better still – connected to the charger throughout and most importantly your intrernet connection should preferably be a good and dependable broadband.

I took all these precautions and just left the room for about 2 hours. When I returned, all was well and I had upgraded my N73 (which I bought way back in Jul 06, the really 1st ones that came out)to N73ME with 7th Dec 06 software version of Euro 1.

I start to look for a 3rd party to unbrick my phone but i still had some hope left, tried to pull and insert the usb cable but the message was showing again. Some minutes after i realised my USB light was on and i tried to do another update, and, suprise, it detect my phone!!! 80% and another error, pressed retry and it went from 0 to 100% ;D “Your phone was updated succesfully, now u can start using your phone”
I turned on my phone and it works perfectly!! OMG i’m so happy and so realived
I thought was good to share my version with u :>

I found a more easier way to upgrade my mobile using the nokia website it says check you phone for update but instead of putting my correct number on my mobile i entered the 0539343 number that you use with the nssuite an it said get it i ran the update on monday the today upgrded my mobile at last an my latest number is V3.0704.1.0.1 19-01-2007 RM-133 an it was alot easier than using the nnsuite as everytime i tried it failed really glad i remembered the 0539343 number nokiablog was showing

I’m having a problem with NSS. I wanted to update my firmware. Current firmware is 3.0638.0.0.30. I saw there is a new one I followed all the right steps stated above. My current product code is 0543843. When I scan using NSU, it says no update for my phone. I found from above instruction that I have to change my product code. Please advice which product code do I need to use to update my firmware to 3.0705.1.0.31? The NSS version I have is 1.0.38.8. Its not detecting my phone at all when I ran scan. 1- Stop the music player by pressing the joystic downwards.
2- Select “Back” by pressing right soft key.
3- Then again select “Back” by pressing the same right soft key.
4- Then select “Phone” by pressing the same right soft key.
U’ll be out of the music player…

you certainly can get out of the music player to the phone as mentioned by Ces, but what many users want is to completely shut it
off, exiting it, that means, its no longer in the background.
When the music player is in background, it consumes some memory, thus making other task seem a little laggy.

1. Go ‘All Songs’.
2. Select ‘Options’ > ‘Album Art’.
3. Select ‘Options’ > ‘Change’.

Damm. I killed my N70 to update Music edition. I thinked that i can update my phone to music edition than only software and packet is difrend, and i founded some forums info for that.

Okay, i foud N70 sandinavian Music edition code and i do sama what there tell (expet code). I start update and i go away. I come back in 10mins and update says ists lost connection, i trye agen and agen connect. but no.

I think i can take battery away and restart phone, i have lost conney last time too, but i have update normally, and its works. But now phone not start. I get litle shocked i try start phone. I ask help in irc but that nots help.
Than next week i go offical nokia repail and i say only its no boot and i think ists soft problem, and try fix here. Next day they called and say its gouing to nokia. And its now there.

I not carry if fix cost 30e or somethink, i can be belive how that can happend than i cant anyway cabel. Now i wait my phone in fix nokia and i use now crappy 3510, i can’t use putty (and irsssi) or whats movies, and i now in the trip.

Justmake sure your profile is set to general, you write the write product code when using nss and then make sure your phones plugged into your charger whilst updating!!!

U could try sending it back and tell them its faulty if your phone died while upgrading to music edition. That’s what I thought I would do, but fortunately, my upgrading went perfectly well.

NO worries though, if your phone died, you can still use a software to do the reviving job, do a little search around and u’ll find it. Or you can just send it to any shop specialized in this.

If it disconnects, either get a new cable or leave your phone virtually UNTOUCHED (not a even a slight move)from the moment you’ve click the Start button to upgrade.

Also, you might wanna fully charge your phone before upgrading. To be on the safe side, i left the charger on my phone turned on while upgrading.

so generally which one is better ME or IE ?
and are all IE fonts looks jaggy ?

If i want to update it which one to chose ? i only need english language on it.

And since the phone is brand new , do i need to back it up before the update or should i just update it ?

will it lose the preinstalled application ?

I’ve finally been able to update my n73 to the music edition and I must say the new music player is just gr8!!
But now, I’ve a little problem, all my pixs n videos in the gallery aren’t displayed..
Has any1 noticed that prob..!?

I’ve sorted out the problem with the gallery..

Just needed 2 format the memory card after updating to music edition..
Only then it’ll recognise the stuffs on my memory card..
N now, all pics r displayed perfectly in the gallery..

As 4 music files which aren’t shown in the library, just create a new folder n rename it “music” n put all ur mp3 n other music files on it.
Refresh ur list in music player n they’ll all show up..

Here’s a gr8 way 2 get the exit option in the music player:

I had been going through all the reviews of the nokia N73 and N73 ME with a fine tooth comb to figure out which was the better phone and then stubled across this site.

Now Im kinda impressed a lil by the ability to upgrade the N73 to the ME version without any cost, although, out of the numerous comments ive read from ppl, there were some with issues.

Now i have a big question i need u guys to answer for me ,….

If you are unfortunate enough to misflash your phone you can always flash again or bring it to your nearest service station. Of course, the people there will know you’ve voided your warranty.

I’ve gone from N73 to Internet edition to Music edition.
And I’ve actually re-flashed with the same firmware to refresh both IE and ME firmwares without a glitch.

I went to the ME firmware because the IE firmware is next to useless in the Philippines. The ME has less stuff in it and most I can actually use.

If you so want the black casing of the ME and aren’t sure of pulling off the case mod for the vanilla version then get the ME.
In my case I got the vanilla then a Kingston 2Gb Mini SD card and the AD41 adapter as after market add-ons. I’m planning to get a Sennheiser CX-300 soon, too. So far I’m using, hold you breath, Sony IEMs. The standard Nokia IEMs and ear phones suck.

so, i need to know will i able to upgrade my n73ME AGAIN since i just notice the above help code contain the simple chinese and english language..

i upgraded my n73 to me and i’ve been using 1gb mem card, havent encountered any probs… others told me that previous versions of n73 do not support 2 gb…

I finnaly went ahead and got myself the N73 Me, nice phone … still getting used to the phone … but ive come across a lil problem.

Does anyone know how u activate the preloaded songs on the cell ? where can i get the activation code from ? I tried getting the codes but it asks for a web address and a password ! Wher do i get that from ?

With all these codes flying around and talk of chinese characters can someone just confirm the code to change to the ME but so eveything is in English and normal just like it would be on the normal N73.

Sorry i’m very poor when i come to technology but i do use my phone for music mainly so the ME is something i really want. Sorry if this sounds annoying but people keep adding tips and suggesting different things to the original guide, can someone help me by typing out an in-depth step-by-step to everything i need to do? If anyone has the time thank you so much, i greatly appreciate it.

P.S. After i chaneg it to ME will my memory card with all my songs and pictures work as normal in the phone or would i have to format it – and if that’s the case do i lose evrything on it?

hi just ordered my n73 black from orange , not sure if this is the music eddition . if i up date the fw to music addition will it remove the orange branding menu etc . in the guid above it states use 0539343 product code . has anyone changed the firmware on a n73 on the orange network. thanks

Well, I got my N73 to upgrade nice and fine and like someone else that posted previously I got “Phone Start-up Failed. Contact the retailer.”

Well I did some researching around and finally hit a good bit of info for you guys who plan on upgrading.

DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT restore the backup from the memory card. (You know, the one that you “have” to make prior to the upgrading process.)

Although others may have resulted in success (by success I mean restoring from backup after the upgrade and STILL have it to work) to most other people this problem would most probabely be the saving grace between a spanking new firmware crossover or a nice looking $500 brick.

According to the forum I got this source from, the person tried upgrading on BOTH his phones BOTH were a success but he made the mistake of RESTORING from the memory card on BOTH his phones which lead the the “Phone start-up failed” message when a user tries to open his N73.

Although I’m not completly sure about this bit of info it certainly does apply to me. I upgraded my phone on Saturday from a regular N73 firmware to the ME version. The upgrade was indeed a success, but then I attempted to restore from backup, everything was going fine…stereo widening & loudness function was awesome but the only thing was I couldn’t access the stanby screen!The phone would automatically take me to the menu screen after I pressed any button that lead me to that screen. So thinking that a nice restart of the phone would do the trick I closed the phone then attempted to open it again…this was when the message hit me and I panicked. Thus I scouted all over the web looking for a fix ultimatly coming upon this bit of info.

Right now as I’m writing this message my father (yes I’m only 16…) has taken the phone to the retailer along with a note I wrote seeing what the retailer can do. And I’m crossing my fingers awaiting his return with good news.. If anything I was thinking I could maybe send it over the the guys @ IUnlock.com to see if they can fix this by flashing. Any thoughts/suggestions would be much appreciated.

And a final word to the wise would be to transfer your contacts to your computer prior to the upgrade and format your memory card clean afterwards. Then you should transfer the contacts back along with placing your music/pictures/videos back into the card.

every went smoothly.
not much of a update, music is kinda better, nice to see different them. would be nice if i can exit music player.

All about Music Player:

after flashing the new firmware, couldn’t you not just change the code back to the orginal but not flash any more firmware? so if you do need to revert back after a problem, you can just flash the original firmware?

It is downgradable, well, kind of.

Before I upgraded my N73 to ME(Euro 1), I backed up my phone memory and memory card using the content copier of the PC Suite. Everything including messages were restored except for all my contacts. When I opened my inbox, the names of the message senders are there which just show that contacts are there somewhere. What could’ve gone wrong?

I just did this and it works!
I was extremely nervous as I’ve only just received the phone on an 18 month contract.
Download Nemesis, change the product code, then install the new update for the phone via Nokia Software Updater.
I live in the UK and feared that I might suffer because of this. However, nothing has gone wrong at all. I used the 0539343 product code given above.

It really does finish the phone off nicely, and I’d personally say to anyone with an N73 who is considering upgrading to do so!
The update is about 75mb and takes a good while to install into the phone once its downloaded. I feared at one point that it had screwed up as the updater seemed to freeze but it worked fine.

i want to say somthng to all u ppl. read it carefully & please dont mind.
i was a big fan of nokia n73 & i was using my n0kia n73 ugraded into music edition through this site with a kingston 2gb card and as a music phone is expected to be, i stored more than 500 songs on it and some other stuf like games, avi files for smart movie etc and even then i didnt used my phone memory at all and also left nearly 0.9gb free card memory but the result was that my phone became TURTLE instead of a phone and i as always waiting for files to be opened. i mean the phone is never capable of handling a 2gb card and alot of stuff in it. now i have sell that phone back and own a nokia n70 with 1gb card and again nearly 780mb space used and remaing 220mb card memory and some 19mb of phone memory is free. nw i m amazed that this smart and little phone is much more better than nokia n73. the other drawback of nokia n73 is that its music player is not user friendly at all and always creats problems such as not detects songs etc.
Now somthing about camera. nokia n73 has a very good camera but as it is mentioned in mobile-review.com and gsmarena.com, it gives very very worst results when printed. in comparison when i used nokia n70, even it is a cheap phone and has a just 2 mp camera without all that qualities of nokia n73, it gives great pics.
i accept tht speaker sound of nokia n73 is louder than nokia n70 but is of same quality. but if u listen through head sets like AD41, there is no difference, even i say nokia n70 has better sound. and i m sure that the stereo widening (which is not in nokia n70) effect is used very less if u want to enjoy music.
i also accept tht nokia n73 has a better display but the cost is alot high too. these were my true, sincere and originla comments for these both phone after all research and use. give comments if u want. verythng is accepted whole heartedly. wot do u say Mark??

Because your N73 need to read all the files when opening a folder and it needs to close the folders when you are reading a file. Maybe you should “clean up” your memory card so that the phone has lesser files to read. which is much better whether N73ME or N73 internet edition
I need the product code of N73 internet edition in Arabic and English version.
Absolutely N73 ME is far better when u compare to that of default N73 bcz loudspeaker gives more sound and much better clarity like sony ericsson than before
and as well it is much faster to use my mobile than previously(before it hangs, zooming problem it always show memory is full & it takes a couple of time to load a software & a lot of such problems are now recovered i have upgraded to N73 music edition. Now i want 2 know the advantage if u convert them internet edition. N73 music edition i found one defect that headset voice is not so appealing as before but when u to see that normal version, me edition it produce clarity music but it doesnt have much noise if u keep in the max volume. But in the case of N73 default version it give more noise but not so good clarity.
I am sure that future firmware upgrade can resolve this problem
I totally satisfied with ME except with the headset noise
I feel internet edition can solve this problem

Just updated to ME and it works great. instead of unpluging the usb cable then replug…u can open icon of PC suite and click “get connected” then “next” “next” till phone is found again.

I have just flashed my vanilla “3″ branded N73 to the Music Edition.

My first try ended in tears, as I didn’t read the above comments, and tried to restore my old settings from my memory card. Woops!

Luckily, I was able to re-flash the ME firmware and now it works like a charm!

I flashed my N73 to N73 Music Edition as well as I changed the housing also yesterday. But there is a new problem I am facing now. Now when I play videos after using video camera, a sound (shooo….)continuously buzzes. Plz help.
