Vlog: From Computer to Nokia N95 to TV
I made a video showing one of the many capabilities of the Nokia N95. I transferred a TV episode I had on my 24-inch iMac to the Nokia N95, then connected it to the TV-out with my television. If you haven’t done this yet, you will be surprised at the quality of the video. I’m sorry the limited lighting on this video did not portray it accurately.
You can also view this video in DVD-like quality at blip.TV
The episode was converted to the N95 using my conversion guide. The video was filmed with a Nokia N93. Notice that the telephone number was blurred out? I did that with Final Cut Pro… I’m slowly learning more about editing video!

I saw the video before reading how you did it and the first thing that came to my mind was that you are streaming from the computer live video to the N95 and then connecting it to the tv

dude, i highly recommend orb mycast (www.orb.com). i have a tv tuner and quite a big video library on my PC, and with orb I am able to access live tv and stream my videos to my PPC. orb takes care of all the decoding, and streaming and supports a variety of formats include flash, windows media player and real player. you should look into it.

Hey Mark. I’m one of Guian boys. That’s pretty sick quality from something so small. Well I didn’t know you’re a Mac user too so I was wondering if you heard about the iSync plugins that have been added for Nokia and the N95 is there of course.

And also if there any other tricks for compatibility with the MAC, please share

Hi there!
Just a thought.
PSP supports h.264. So does N95. PSP supports up to 720×480 in resolution, can the N95 play videos with that resolution (with a decent bitrate, that is)?
If so, it would be awesome to encode movies in one format, playable through PSP, N95 and of course computer. One movie-library to rule them all…
Can you possibly try some videos encoded for the psp, and see if the N95 can handle them?
And also, is the tv-out cable somehow technically limited to 640×480? Or would it be possible to get 720×480? Perhaps through the use of upcoming tcpmp (coreplayer)?
