Vlog: Playing Global Race on the Nokia N95
I showed off the Global Race game on my Nokia N95 to my co-workers last week and they were surprised to see something like it on a phone. I also brought in the Nokia N93i to catch their reaction and thoughts on video.

Shot on Nokia N93i, you can also view this video in dvd-like quality at blip.tv
If you listen closely, Henry even mistakes holding a camera instead of a phone. Yes, the Nokia N95 is also a 5 megapixel camera, but that’s another topic. As you can see from the video, he enjoyed playing the game was surprised to see how it looks .
What’s great about playing games or using applications on the Nokia N95, is that you can change views from upright to widescreen instantly. As you can see in the video, changing views is as simple as sliding the phone over. Global Race even pauses the game for you when you change views, which I like very much.
The Global Race game was originally found in the Nokia E90 support page, but Neil Bird from iGadget Life shows us that it also works on his Nokia N95 and Nokia N93i. Ricky Cadden from Symbian-Guru also shares that you can download extra free tracks for the game, too. Check out some actual gameplay screenshots below.

in global race you can also use the 4 and 5 keys to turn left and right I’ve found. Helps my driving a lot as I’m not always hitting the application or gallery buttons!
Mark Guim on 10 July 2007:
@sam I just tried that. thanks for the tip!
Omar on 12 July 2007:

Mark Guim on 12 July 2007:
@omar youtube doesn’t work on your computer? try updating flash. or maybe it’s blocked on your network.
Omar on 13 July 2007:
Hi, No it isnt blocked and flash is updated, It works on other sites just not this one. But nevermind, Global Race is a sweet game!
Malte Lewan on 27 July 2007:
The speedmeter in the widescreen mode makes it almost impossible to use on a N95. It blocks the view. I don’t think you can get rid of it.
