Vlog: Nokia N82 Versus Nokia N95 Night Photos

The Nokia N82’s major improvement over other Nseries device is its xenon flash. How does it compare to the Nokia N95’s flash? Well, I took a video of this face-off and was not surprised at the result. The Nokia N82 is the imaging king. Check the video.

The two photos taken in the video are included below. Nokia N95 first, and then the Nokia N82. This was pretty obvious, but I made this video so you can see the big difference.

UPDATE:
A lot of people are saying that the Nokia N95 photo is fake or in night mode. Let me clarify. I think the wall was too far for the Nokia N95’s flash to illuminate it. For a more fair comparision, I took pictures of an object in front of both cameras so you can have a better comparison. I don’t even think I need to tell you which photo was taken with what camera. Both pictures were taken in complete darkness under automatic mode.

Hy All,i'm from Romania,Bucharest more exactly,and in the past year i've changed more than 100 phones and i've discovered a few months ago the n82. Gret phone,great brand and a great fall... I had a n95 and i dropped opened on a side and the slide sistem was ... hurt almoast dead:) I dropped also the n82.. result? A scratch! P.s i keep my phone in my jeans pockets,a n82 does nothing inside but a n95 slides back'n forth (something practic) thx c'ya

in N95 go to scene mode and change it to night portrait and take photos in the dark and u will see the difference

mbharold...you are stupid nuts lah...although i used to use N95 normal one, il stil say N82 is BETTER then N95 in terms of camera quality. stop talking just cause u own a N95! i do too! and YES, N82 is better i admit! think using your brains and senses! not following your bloody heart just to satisfy yourself!

I think n95 is better than n82
why?!
The most bothering thing I see in n82 is the BUTTONS, they really suck. They look easily broken and I really can't handle them. Moreover n82 has a bigger size than n95 (longer). Except for the xenon flash and digital voice recording n82 resembles n95 in everything else. According to Nokia official site n95 kicks n82 in standby hours, the internal memory of n95 is 160 mb while n82 is 100 mb and don't forget that n82 lacks IR connection. The both have the same software and apps. Simply go to Nokia site and make comparison between these two phones.

hey mark... juss had a question bout the n82... does it make a difference purchasing one thats made by nokia(made in china/hong kong) vs made in finland??? need to purchase this phone n was juss wondering whether theres any difference... thanks...

Some people say Made in Finland is better, but I seriously don't see the difference. If it's important to you, buy from a store that will let you exchange if you are not satisfied. I know Dell lets you do this.

N82 is no doubt the best nseries phone in terms of camera and features...xenon flash is the best part. it also has auto rotating dislay which N95 lacks.. worthy of money N82

Auto rotating is provided in the new update of nseries software, the v 30 which has been released recently. It's a software issue not a phone issue!
once you've updated your n95 software the auto rotating will work. I'll add that info too, the youtube video palying is supported too in this update. So there's no advantage for n82 in this side dude. Oh btw there's an app called rotate me which provides the same function for n95 (auto rotating).

@joe: it's one thing to have 8 MP in a digicam, and one thing to have it in a phone. the space you have in a cam is for cam parts only, which means you have LOTS of tech to put in (i'm no cam expert tho). But a Phone has to content ALL the Phone Parts .. i can't imagine that the 8MP Pics will be much better in terms of quality. only the physical size will increase, but i don't think the quality itself. i even doubt that the 8 MP SE will beat the N82 ..

But what i'm lookin forward is that newly announced Samsung S60 8MP Thing, looks interesting, but lacks Xenon! :(

@jeff I like the N95-3 better because of the US 3g. The N82 does not support US 3G.

and what about the other aplications like the GPS, media player, etc. which is better n95 or n82 ??? im about to buy a new phone and the choice is between the N95, N95 8GB and the N82.

They are all the same. They have the same apps and the same quality. The difference in this aspect is that n95 8gb has a longer screen and also 8gb storage space (like n82). I would recommend n95 8gb.
