Thank for the ideas that you have shared. Google map is actually a lot of help for those who want to detect a specific location. I will be glad if you will provide more information here in your article.

Nice try, but that's in no way easier than the initial post.

It took me about 10 minutes with your "pipe" post to find out how to "save the pipe" and run it ... and "getting the badge" was even trickier. It took 10-15 more clicks and the integration into a blog post is far from as seamless as the "my google map" integration. And no, I am not a computer newbie.

Hey Mark,

There's another option to do this : use Yahoo!Pipes. That's even faster and easier than your nice trick.
See my blog post here : [http://fibergeneration.typepad.com/welcome/2008/05/just-this-09-08.html]
Was done in a few clicks with Pipes. Code available for copy & paste here : [http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.info?_id=Plm6KRwg3RGXvwviy6ky6g].
Method :
1) just replace the URL by the GeoFeed you want to embed (as described in your post)
2) save the pipe
3) run the pipe
4) get the badge, as you wish : map, image, or list
5) copy it onto your blog. Boom, you're done.

HTH,

Worth noting that it looks like the geoFeed is limited to only 20 pictures max

i have made this all work really well with a blog and be completely intergrated! also and whats best is i managed to get it all to work from just the n95, after the initial set up there is no need to be near a computer which makes it perfect for when i go travelling around south east asia, please check it out and let me know what you think.

Excelent tip. Thanks.
Now if we could get the same geo feed out of the sportstracker website then not only would our photos (geo tagged by Shozu - Or can the N82 self-tag?) show up in our personal map but our track would too!

Goodbye RoboGeo!!

I think you missed a step in the HOWTO, in order to get the "path" to appear also you need to additionally import your KML file exported from SportsTracker.

GeoSetter is also a useful windows desktop app for doing stuff like this, if you don't want to rely on flickr, it can geotag the exif info (or get it from files tagged by nokia's new Location Tagger app), then export various map views.

I get two copies of my pictures on the map and in the list on the left, but when I view the GeoFeed itself there is only one copy of each?

I sort of got it to work. For some reason it didn't want to show some of my manually geotagged photos, but now it shows my HDR photo in Keller, but not any of my photos in Brazil. Is it just a little wonky with manually geotagged photos?

But anyway, thanks for the further explanation. I totally missed the import step.
