Vlog: Nokia N96 LED Flash Brightness Demo
February 11th, 2008 • Mark Guim • Filed Under •
The Nokia N96 was announced today and you might be curious how bright the dual LEDs flash. I got it on video for you to find out. This is the product manager of the Nokia N96 at Mobile World Congress showing a demo of the LED brightness.
The Nokia N96 now offers something I’ve been missing since I said goodbye to Nokia N93: flash while taking videos. Sure, the Nokia N96 does not have xenon flash for photography like the Nokia N82, but it will take better videos in dark situations.
Other video format: Mobile

Did he say “the camera software is not quite working right now”? Was that a prototype or a finalized product? Makes me kinda worry it’s going to need big firmware upgrades.
caliboy99 on 12 February 2008:
it did look bright, but going to have to see a picture test to see if there is any major improvement(sigh).
Eugene on 12 February 2008:
Hey, do you guys think it has a built-in accelerometer and can use rotatemem and nokmote applications? and does it have a 3d hardware accelerator?
nicci on 12 February 2008:
it seems that flash process is still under process or the person revel laing the feature dont know about the flash but this seems to be a turning point after n95 which wont seems to be a much success after this .nokia needs to work on n96 battery backup
John on 13 February 2008:
Hmm I was under the impression the N96 would have xenon flash for pictures.
That’s a disappointment for me, if it doesn’t have it.

Attn:Joe
that will probably be a prototype, plus, they can always fix the software with a simple firmware update, not only that, but he may have been doing the wrong thing himself.
the N96 will be awesome when it is released, much better than the N95

It has both accelerometer and navi wheel, to make the screen turn like the iphone, you just need to install a small program called (I think its called) RotateMe.
Google will have the right results
