Nokia N95 NAM or Nokia N95-3 Product Codes

Are you constantly checking your North American Nokia N95 for firmware updates on Nokia Software Update? You are not the only one. I’ll provide you the product codes list for the Nokia N95-3, and perhaps one day one of those codes will show a shiny new firmware. You can check updates based on Nokia product codes and use my list.

Nokia’s firmware updates checks your product code to see if your firmware is up to date. I don’t know why, but sometimes only certain codes get the updates first. Here are the full product code list for the Nokia N95 NAM, also known as the Nokia N95-3.

#0534861: NAM / US
#0552415: NAM / US
#0551733: NAM / LTA
#0551734: NAM / LTA
#0552432: NAM / Brazil
#0552434: NAM / Brazil

Changing product codes are useful if you want a different language pack or update firmware when the current product code does not have the firmware update yet. Read the similar instructions on the Nokia N95-1 for Updating Firmware, Debranding, and/or Change Language Pack, but use the codes on this page only for the Nokia N95-3.

So when will we get our updates, Nokia? It’s been a while since I wrote the Nokia N95-3 review.

I have big problem... I have N95-3 but I used N95-1 product code.. and now the Nemesis shows error when "Scan" the phone.. Can anyone help me how to reverse back to N95-3 code? Also what will this going to do with my phone :-(

I use other computer and install Nokia Software Updater and able to use Nemesis to change back to original code.

I changed product code with N95-1 Turkish, but it isnt work.
"No new firmware....."

I think RM-160 ( N95-3 ) not suitable for europe languages... I havent any hope...

Can anyone help me out? I'm in need of an unbranded Australian N95-3 RM-160 product code. If not one of the unbranded Asia Pacific codes I'm told will do.

I've got a Telstra branded phone, debranded it using one of the US codes, updated straight away to firmware 20.something but I've still got no 3g access to the Optus network.
Checked with Nokia and my n95-3 rm160 is capable of doing it, so I must need a different product code to get it to work.

@ Marc: try product code 0552415 NAM/US, it's a code from an unbranded N95-3. But, another reason why your 3G might not work is because of the WAP settings? Are you even able to access any form of internet from your phone besides wifi? If not, you need to setup WAP for your provider.

@ Edu: any product code from Americas will (or atleast should) have spanish language. My N95-3 with product code 0552415 has 4 languages built-it (English / French / Portugues / Spanish), as you see, Spanish is one of them. Not sure what kind of phone you have, but my guess is it's already in there. Here's some more product codes I've found:

0552432: NAM / Brazil
0552434: NAM / Brazil
0551733: NAM / LTA
0551734: NAM / LTA
0552415: NAM / US

People, keep this in mind... DO NOT USE N95-1 product codes on N95-3 and vise-versa. It will turn your phone in to a plastic brick.

BTW, http://www.horizon-comm.com/ here's a place that sells some NAM version nokia's at a cheap price (cheap as in buying from an official retail in the states rather than on ebay from some Wang Chong in China), already got two N95-3's from them.

Another thing to keep in mind, changing your product code VOIDS YOUR WARRANTY. I've read only one person complain that his got rejected from warranty repair because of this. One is not 1,000... But it's not 0 either, from my point of view, it's unlikely but still possible
