Rumor: The Nokia N96 With Xenon Flash
The rumor for today is that the Nokia N96 will have Xenon flash similar to the Nokia N82. Xenon technology is a lot brighter than current LED flash which results in a lot better picture quality at night or indoors with poor lighting. Take a look at my previous Nokia N82 photo samples. I think this rumor sounds too good to be true, but I’m all for it.

Nokia N96 with Xenon Flash… photoshopped.
Daedalus85 from Esato forums says
Our Nokia rep told me… the (Nokia) N96 hasn’t been given the complete green light yet… And the delays are due to them adding (at the last minute) a Xenon flash…
If this rumor is true, does it mean the current dual LED’s initially planned are staying and a Xenon flash will be added? Or will it be totally replaced? The bad thing about removing the LED’s is that Xenon light can’t be simultaneously on while recording video. This feature is missed by previous Nokia N93 owners.
Another theory can be that the xenon flash will be implemented to a Nokia N96 variation instead and probably get called Nokia N96i. It was not an official statement, so I don’t believe it yet.

I had an N82 from WOM World and currently run an N95 8GB.
The Xenon Flash is something I truly, TRULY miss.
It’s a fantastic feature and makes an amazing difference to any photo.. I’m all for this being on the N96

My opinion is that it will be an excellent feature if they make that happen. I’m a satisfied N95-1
(w 8Gb sdhc)owner, I have only one concern and that’s if they will improve battery life to?
