i love my n93, takes better video than most videorecorders of same size.

wishlist for the next
better internal memory (read more)
ability to remove memorycard without powering down.
normal audio jack
mini usb instead og the pop-port
a way to record video without opening the phone, filming from belt og on table (yah a bit spy-like hehe)
built in gps.
a bit smaller.
all other features is great for me, i dont need a 12 megapixel camera, but a good reliable camera, in my phone,
the worst thing about the phone is that it is like most other phone cameras when it comes to recording in bad light, at parties etc.

the Nokia N93/N93i can’t let you take a self-portrait with the screen (viewfinder) facing you, and I am disappointed with this. front camera sucks, so it’s not really useful. if only N93 and N93i were made with a mechanism like that of N90 where you can take photo of yourself without having to worry how you looked like.

Having missed my N90, and going a full circle with other brands, I came back to this swivel-flip style with N93i. The tech is a bit old school for 2008, the video quality is a disaster (it deteriorates with low lighting) and size is still a brick but it is an absolute joy to play and look at. I guess it depends on your needs. x

The N93/N93i reminds me of the old swivel-barrel CoolPix series from Nikon — both are great for self-portraits, and I can’t imagine in this day of Facebook and MySpace that a slimmer version wouldn’t do well…

I actually still have the N93 – and use it.
Ofcourse it’s a brick and the usability is a decade behind iPhone (that’s my other phone), but it’s the only phone in the market that is comfortable to take a video with. (N93i being equal naturally.)
Should Nokia come out with a similarily shaped phone, with maybe even an improved camera, I’d definately swap the N93 for that.

The phone is too fat and it is quiet huge in size.If there was a slim one with all the same features and definitely needed to be a bit cheaper as well. 2010 isn’t too far away.

I’ve had one of these for over a year and it’s been the worst Nokia I’ve had – and I got my first mobile in 1987. The twist and swivel mechanism weakens substantially with use and eventually it just breaks leaving with a phone that switches itself on and off at will or won’t turn on without a full battery-out reboot.

Nice idea but a lot more work needs to go into the mechanics of the form factor before I’d by another similar device.

n93 was way too fat, the phone is HUGE. It is literally a brick in your pocket. I like the idea of the flip and swivel, but the phones were just humoungus. If there was a slim one w/ all the same features and definitely needed to be a bit cheaper as well. 2010 isn’t too far away, and for it to be popular, it would have to make its way to the US on a carrier.

I had a N90 and loved it as well. I loved how I could swivel the lens around and take self-portraits and be able to see the screen to line it up well. It too was an attention grabber. I have a Nokia N95 now and taking pics of oneself is back to being guess work.
