It makes sense that bubbles show up only when light source is coming to the lens, and not a reflection of xenon flash.

Bubbles look like saliva to me, people spit a lot when talking about how bad they want your N82. But they could be dirt too.

@DTM
Isn't strange how the bubbles don't show up when the xenon is the only light source?

@Viipottaja

I use landscape mode with high ISO and usually change the light settings accordingly.

I prefer flickr right now, since its supported more. But I tend to post videos on Ovi.

Couple of questions:
1) Which setting do you like to use in your User Defined Profile
2) Do you think Ovi or Flickr does a better job at compressing your pics? I am trying to consolidate to Ovi. Its video performance sure beats e.g. YouTube in my view

ps. great pic of the girls backs ;) on your Flickr account.
ps2. got my N82 Black on Friday and my wife told me last night when we were going to sleep (and I was still playing with it): "I can't believe how much you can look at that thing" - to which I of course promptly replied "well, there are so many things in it I am still discovering things.." :)

Hi Al,

The "bubbles" are caused by specs of dust on the lens of the camera diffracting the light from the flash. It's a curious effect and only seems to happen with xenon flash guns. My point-and-shoot canon camera has them all the time. It's nothing to do with the software.

Thanks for the review I'm looking forward to getting my Black N82 too.
