Rumor: Nokia N85 Is The Next Video Flagship
The Nokia N96 is not even out yet, but several people are already excited about a rumored Nokia N85 scheduled for summer 2009. Combining info from different sources, we get an almost clear idea of what it may look like.
Nokia N85 is not about photo. It is all about video experience. It comes with 5 megapixel camera. It is smaller than the Nokia N96, but with WQVGA resolution (4??x240 pixels resolution). The most interesting claim is that it looks like a Nokia N93 packed into a different form factor. Sources: Teo from Symbian-Freak, Eldar from Mobile-Review, David from Electronic Pulp.
The photo above was found in Nokia’s patent applications last December. Is that the Nokia N85? That form factor looks really interesting! A lot more exciting the Nokia N96.

Been using the Nokia N95 8GB for a while now, so I definitely would like a new phone to play ...
I am just curious which of your current phones you got bored with!

Cant believe this!! Ive just upgraded to the N96 and now they're bringing one out above it! How mad am ...
the video suggests it is some some of new privacy techonly, as to our phones now all from us, so ...

About megapixels… It seems to say 6 or 8, but anyway is 5.

Nokia is not going to pump megapixels while the sensors and its sensitivity basically remains the same, they started to work on quality instead of boosting megapixels just like that!!!

Well…I hope you are right Pl because I am not too thrilled at all with the design above. I mean the camcorder concept is interesting I suppose, but the rest of it leaves something to be desired.

regarding PL’s image- I don’t think so. First off, the N00 image that the previous poster references is not the same design- look at the aux keypad (not the number pad)… the patent filing and the leaked N00 image just don’t match up. Zero credibility. Also- wtf… is that a pop-port on the bottom?
Give me a break.
I don’t think any of the images are the real N85… the N00 image just looks super, super cheap. I’m tired of the variations of the N81 design anyhow. :-\

Nokias got to stop making bulky phones so this N85 will not be attracting alot of customers if this is the size Nokia are going to make it,the N93 was to Bulky an did not sell well so Nokia please change this design or you will be wasteing more money producing a phone that will not fit in people pockets an will not be another good seller

Just seen on http://www.gsmarena.com the Nokia N85 is released now an available. pLEMIX HAVE IT SIM-FREE ANd EXSPANSys ARE GETTING IT ON THE 25TH OCTOBER,SO THE PERSON SAYING THE N85 WILL BE DELAYED GOT IT TOTALLY WRONG SO WILL BE GETTING THE N85 ON CONTRACT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
