Vlog: Nokia E71 Video Sample Asks Why People Are Lining Up At The NY 5th Ave Apple Store

To show you a Nokia E71 video sample, I went to the Apple Store and asked the first guy on line the iPhone 3G why he has been waiting almost a week. He’s there with a group with good cause and also break a Guinness World Record. Check it out.

The line was not as long as I thought. There were probably 15-20 people there and most of them are part of the Waiting For Apples group (explained in the video). Nokia should contact them about breaking their own record and wait in line for the Nokia N96 when it comes out.

Nokia E71 Video Quality

As you can see, the video quality on the Nokia E71 is not even close to the Nokia N95 or Nokia N82. The color is pretty bad and the frame rate is slower. The Nokia E71 captures video at 640×480 with 15FPS, half the capability of 30FPS on the Nokia N95 and N82. At least its got video recording unlike the iPhone…

So which of you Nokia fanatics are getting the iPhone 3G. Come on, fess up!

    The 4 of July I was in Manhattan like 11PM, I had a long diner at Angelos Pizza. Me and my family went to apple store because it was the only store that was open. We saw this guys and we tought they were a bunch of homeless!! I mean they looked like they didnt had a bath for a while...LOL

    I said they were waiting for iphone but then we tought that was impossible because the Iphone was going to be launched ONE week after.

    I bought an iPhone 3G :\

    I've been a Nokia faithful since my first moby (with an experimental phase with the O2 XDA Mini). Nokias are the most reliable, well built and usable devices I know.

    The iPhone 3G is a sub-average phone, when you look at the specs, and with that crappy plastic back it's pretty ugly too. So why did I buy one? The same reason I own an iPod. Not because they're good, but because they're popular.

    Before you start thinking I'm a fashion victim, let me explain. Popular things get a lot of attention, especially from accessory (and indeed application) manufacturers. The iPhone is not a good phone, but the software that will be created for it by non-Apple developers will far outstretch the Symbian apps currently available for, say, my Nokia 6300.

    I will of course keep a stash of Nokia handsets ready for when the iPhone breaks/bricks/locks up/gets stolen ;)

    the nokia 6300 is not a symbian phone :D so yes, the iphone will outstretch the nokia's s40 platform. but not the symbian.. :)

    Honestly, why do people think that an iPhone is better than an N series nokia?? OK, i admit i have had an iphone, cos i had to try it, but not instead, just BESIDE my n95 8GB and.. it was.. how shall i put it :D boring :D flashy on the street: more people looked at me, thats true, but noooo, i'd never give my 8G' for anything like this :P

    Hmm... my Nokia E71 can only record with 320 x 240 and 15 fps, in settings I have set "High" quality. Something is wrong with my e71 ? or specs changed ? Maybe firmware update did this ?
