It surprises me that nobody is mentioning the Red pill installable native IM client. It supports practically everything, Yahoo, AIM/AOL, Google, XMPP, etc etc

Fring is my latest fav one app for chat/talk to all my Skype, Yahoo, Google Talk / Gizmo contacts.
Very nice.

Canola I would always put right up there - as example of how portable UI should be - apart from being a great media player. Never faced any issues with it on Diablo.

Personal Menu - nice to have - customizes the way you launch apps and saves space as well. Particularly like how it works with rotation support in Portrait mode. The regular Maemo menus look all skewed and go out of the screen in rotation mode.

@Edward I didn't forget Canola. There are still issues with running Canola in Diablo and while a good app it can be kind of sluggish although does seem better in Diablo but not quite stable yet.

UPDATE: Mauku was just updated today to include support for Twitter. Twitter fans need not feel jealous any longer. http://darlamack.com for details.
