Sighting: Nokia N96 Shown in American Boy Music Video by Estelle Ft. Kanye West?
The Nokia N96 or Nokia N81 was spotted by Markz over at our forums on the American Boy music video by Estelle featuring Kanye West. I’m confused like Markz which of the two phones are on the video because of the black & white video color. Take a look at the video yourself and tell us what you think it is.

Looks like the Nokia N96 from the back.

The hints to look at are the placements of the speaker grille and the volume buttons. The screen size does not really give away which phone it is. What do you think? Is it the Nokia N96, Nokia N81, or something else?

At 1:47, she shows the phone to the person she just took a picture of and the slider form is that of an N81 - or, because the two look alike.. an N96. Maybe, based on the camera shape, an early prototype N00 “N85″? Looking at the buttons on the right side of the device, it looks as though there’s a speaker grille and volume key laid out just as the N81’s keys are, so maybe it really is just an N81.

It is a N81, there is no doubt, N96 is going to be bigger and there is no way they got one, not eve facing the task (if you know what I mean)
It is really weird that people like alicia keys, 50 cent, michael buble, estelle etc… I mean American artists, singers are using Nokia devices, for example Nokia should take advantage that 50 Cent uses a N95, if that appears on TV. Everyone will get a N95.

@micky I still see it. For those who still think it is the N78 on the first shot, take a look at the first photo. There’s a clear separation between the front and back slides at the tip of her left point-finger.

The first one is not an N78. Don’t be fooled at first like I was in thinking that the front of the phone is completely flat, as it would be with a candybar phone.
Look at the placement of the first finger on Estelle’s left hand as she takes the picture. You can see the top of the back of the phone and where the slider itself extends upwards. Also note the the slider portion is thin, as it would be on any other Nokia Nseries slider.
Also, look at the small white backlit key next to her opposite pointer finger - it’s a C, or the clear key. The C key on the N78 is on the bottom of the phone, to the right. This C key, however, is on the top. On the other side of the phone, there is the menu key, as it would be placed on the N81 or N96.

that was an n81. like that video, estelle looks good and kanye spits crazy. i saw the dark knight film recently and the tube is in it, looks sweet.
