Requesting Nokia Warranty Repair For My Nokia N95 8GB Day 2
During Day 1, the lady on the phone told me they don’t do repairs at the Flagship stores, but several others suggested I gave the store a call. So for Day 2, I gave the Nokia Flagship NY a call. Their telephone number is (212) 758-1980. The automated telephone system said, dial ‘305′ to get in touch with the care center. Nobody picked up the three times I tried, so I pressed ‘0′ to ask a sales rep. Continue following my experience with Nokia’s Warranty repair.

The sales rep told me that they can take a look at the phone to see if they can fix it there. If not, they will send it out themselves for repair. That sounds good to me! I’ll be visiting the Nokia Flagship NY later this week so they can take a look at my Nokia N95 8GB. I’ll keep you updated.
Since there are only two Nokia Flagships in the United States, many will not have the same option as me. Continue reading to find what you need to do if your phone is still under warranty.
Go to https://www.nokiausa.com/A4410046 and follow the directions. At the end of the form, it will lead you to the instructions and address to send the phone to. Unlike my past experience with other companies’ warranty repair, Nokia does not provide a pre-paid box for shipping. You will have to pay for it yourself and make sure it is signed and insured.

I had a situation with my old 6820 in the summer of ‘05 or ‘06 where there was water damage and I sent it in for repair as per the instructions on the website. I knew it wasn’t covered by the warranty and I was willing to pay the price of repair without knowing what it was going to be. I was given an address in Florida to send it to. Every time I would send it in, they would send it back along with a quote for the repair/replacement cost and a completely contradictory statement saying that the phone was unrepairable. After three tries, I just contacted the Better Business Bureau in Central Florida. I explained I was totally willing to pay the quoted amount, but they kept on sending the phone back with no repairs after keeping it for two weeks. Within a few weeks I got a phone call from Nokia corporate offices and a lady asked if I was willing to settle for a new 6822 and if I had the battery from my 6820 and if it was useable. They mailed me a new unlocked 6822. After months of sitting in my dresser, my old water damaged 6820 started to work completely normally too. I was on the brink of completely switching away from Nokia during the beginning of that experience. The whole incident left me phoneless for several weeks. Although both phones still work to this day.

I had an issue with my e61i that I accidentally crushed the keyboard of. Also being out of warranty and willing to pay for the repair I sent it to the repair facility in FL. 6 weeks went by with contrary phone calls, no status…etc. Because of the company I work for we have regular dealings with Nokia so I pursed resolution via that manner. This was also to no success. I have since learned that Nokia outsources their “customer care” to another company. Back in the day, you could call customer care and the operators you talked to knew about the devices, menu options, features…etc. This is not the case now. They are little more than 3rd party hourly workers reading from a script. The dismal support of Nokia and its customer service is legend on the internet. If you want more details hit Craigslist there are at least 3 or 4 threads devoted to nothing but. I am still a huge Nokia fanboy, always will be, but their customer service is their one failing point. Needless to say, I now take EXTRA precautionary care to ensure that nothing happens to my Nokia devices.
