Featured App: Handy Taskman Replaces The S60 Task Manager
If there’s an app to install on our Nokia phones running S60 before anything else, it is Handy Taskman. Just ask any other long time Nokia user and they’ll agree. Of course, I mentioned it briefly in the first ten applications I install on my phone. It replaces the task manager (the one that appears when you hold the menu button).

Current running apps, memory info, and lookup
You can switch to, close, kill any application or close them all in one click. You can also have full information about running programs and about free memory left on the phone (RAM, Phone memory and Memory card).
Another feature is the ability to lookup and start applications by typing in the application’s name. I don’t use this part of the application, to be honest, because the search does not use predictive text. SkyeQuikey works better with that feature.
If you are looking for a better task manager for your S60 3rd edition Nokia phone, Handy Taskman is that app. However, buying Handy Taskman costs about $25. Fortunately, Nokia improved the built-in task manager on the newer phones starting from the Nokia N78 and Nokia N96 so we won’t be needing it on upcoming models.

Couldn’t agree more! HandyTaskman is one of the best 3rd party apps I can think of. That and Calcium to replace the rubbish calculator are the first two apps I install on any S60 device right after setting the time.

It’s a good task manager, but not as good as Jbak Taskman which is free.
