Vlog: Quick Nokia E71 vs Blackberry Curve Comparison

Mark (The Boss) and I went out last Saturday to go out and deliver some of our new Nokia E71 NAM from our store. Started early around 9 AM and we proceeded to go to the Poconos to shoot some guns at Sunset Hill shooting range. Also, I included a video of Mark and I briefly comparing the Nokia E71 to the Blackberry Curve in terms of looks and feel. Peep the videos after the hash brown.

Mark eating junk food at 9 in the morning… that’s not healthy bro! In any case, if you’re interested in a purchase, head over to the Nokia Blog store. We’ll try to get some more in later. No problems!

Sorry about the discombobulated comparison, lol. Our friends aren’t the most patient or cooperative bunch. If you haven’t read them yet, also check out our detailed physical review of the Nokia E71 and the Nokia E71 review from a business user.

Editor’s Note: The embedded videos above might not be visible in some RSS readers and while the battery cover is made of stainless steel, I meant to say the rest of the body on the Nokia E71 is made of “metal-looking plastic.” I was distracted by the driver.

  1. You deliver? Haha awesome!

Based on the dashboard, I believe that’s a Subaru Impreza? :)

    Gahh you don’t stock N810s..

  3. correct indeed…it was an impreza…

and if you order now, we can get it to you in the greater nyc area as fast as our insane friend can get us there.

    it’s quite dangerous! hahaha

  4. loll how was the food mark….

  5. WTF is that? That’s not a comparison, that’s just showing the two devices on a crappy video. ‘people with fat fingers might like the curve better’. LOL. Yeah, they might, and they might not, but what was your experience testing (or at least trying) it?

  6. For the past 2 weeks I’ve been trying to make up my mind which to buy. I guess you decided for me. I didn’t know so much of the Nokia engine was lacking vis-a-vis the BB. Having such a slow processor must make VOIP really difficult and I really need VOIP.

  7. VoIP apps like Skype, Vyke, Fring, TruPhone or the native SIP app work fine.

It’s Nokia’s Mobile VPN client that’s the stupidest app I’ve ever seen, no PPTP, no OpenVPN, no OpenSSL support and they call that useless crap a VPN client.

No VPN means no VoIP for us or countries that block VoIP services and apps.

Sheesh Nokia, get a clue! Update your VPN client.

  8. It seems that Blackberry and Nokia both have probs with VOIP so I’m going with Touch Pro.

  9. Having dropped mine, I can asure you the front of the E71 is made of metal :(
The core and the bottom are made of metal-look plastic.
