With the Trinity Nokia N82 leather case, the front of the phone retains its appearance with the help of see-through plastic. The rest of the phone is covered by leather. Fitment

As soon as I saw the leather case, I thought Trinity sent me the wrong case because it looked too small for the Nokia N82. I actually thought they sent me a one-for-all leather case that fits a lot of other candybar phones. I realized I was very wrong once I put it on/

The Good. The fit is snug. This means it does not make my Nokia N82 feel thicker in my pocket. The holes and openings on the leather case corresponded properly with the power button, microUSB port, volume controls and one of the speakers.

The Bad. Since closing the case includes 2 zippers on the side, the camera button, gallery button, microSD slot, mic, and one of the speakers get covered unfortunately.

Usage

The Good. Even though one of the speakers and the mic are covered by the zippers, I did not notice any hit on performance. Sound still came out loud and clear as expected on the Nokia N82. Callers can still hear me on the other line without any problems.

The Bad. The D-Pad on the Nokia N82 is raised making it feel good to navigate with the up-down-left-right keys without a leather case. The snug fit of the Trinity leather case slightly takes away that tactile feedback. Pressing either the left or right direction actually sometimes made the phone thought I pressed the center button.

Verdict

I’m not a leather case user. I like carrying my phones in my pocket and only really want to protect the screen display. If you like to protect your whole phone, then Trinity is definitely something to consider. The snug fitment does not make your phone bulkier than it needs to. The only problem I had is the performance of the D-pad after I put on the leather case.
