Big name rappers like T.I., 50 Cent, and Lil Wayne are carrying Nokia N95’s to broadcast videos online to Kyte.TV, so I’m thinking it will only be a matter of time before we hear a Nokia rap. Companies pay hip-hop artists to name-drop in their lyrics, so it won’t be that much of a surprise. I’d love to hear one.

TI with the Nokia N95 NAM

We’ve seen sightings of Nokia phones on music videos before but they’re not as lyrically obvious as P. Diddy’s Pass The Courvoisier and the recent Stepped on My J’z by Nelly. The songs not only featured the Courvoisier and Jordan brands, but was actually written about them.

The closest thing to a Nokia Music video is the Camera Phone by Da Muzicianz which you can watch above. The whole video showed the Nokia N90, but no name-dropping in the lyrics. Although I’m actually glad they didn’t mention Nokia in their lyrics because the song is ridiculous. The Nokia N81 song by Pop4real does not count because that was produced by Nokia themselves!

With rappers now carrying Nokia N95’s around, I’m sure they’ll be inspired ask to get paid to write an N95 rap real soon.
