Nokia N95 8GB Photos At Red Bamboo Restaurant

We went to Red Bamboo restaurant for lunch today in Soho. I had my Nokia N95 8GB to take pictures of the fake-meat vegetarian food they offered. I’ve been carrying the Nokia E71 the past week, and the poor camera on it made me really miss the better one on the N95 8GB.

Appetizers

For appetizers, we had salmon roll and buffalo wings. Both are made of fake meat… even the salmon. It tasted just like… salmon. The wings were definitely not close to looking like the real deal. They were still delicious, though.

Entree

For the main entree, I had Thai Soy Beef Curry. It was spicy, but bearable. From rating of 1 for slightly spicy to 5 for volcanic spicy, it was around 2. It looks like beef, but you’ll know the difference when you start chewing. It doesn’t have that ‘meat juice.’ Nonetheless, I can’t complain about the taste. It was pretty good.

Thai Beef Curry

Sheila had Voodoo Sticks from the menu, which is grilled soy beef and peeper kabobs. She said it needed more seasoning. The portion is also smaller compared to our appetizers and the beef curry I ordered. We probably wouldn’t order it again.

Nokia N95 8GB Camera

I really enjoy using the Nokia N95 8GB’s camera. It’s a lot better than the Nokia E71, which is unfortunate because I love that QWERTY keypad. I don’t want to carry two devices, so it looks like I’ll be using the Nokia N95 8GB more often this week… until I start missing the E71 again.

  5. They have priced iPhone at about $720 for the 8GB and $850 for the 16GB version. The enquiries were in the range of 200,000 before the sales started and prices were announced but I believe lot of people have been dissapointed by the high price. iPhone is sold thru two operators here, Vodafone and Airtel. The sales figures for Airtel’s first day stood at approximately 500 handsets. Vodafone were not announced. But people are excited.
N96 has created kind of confusion here. Just because it is named N96, people are taking it to be a natural upgradation over N95 8GB which is not the case. Its an evolutionary product with features of it own taking somethings from N77, N82 and N95 also. I bilieve more of business users are going in for iPhone but people like me will wait for N96. It is also supposed to be priced in the range of $800-$850. Which is kind of a gamble in India. At that price, people generally go in for E90, 8800 (business users). But iPhone for sure has people lining up at the stores, not the kind of hype we have seen at US, New Zealand or Japan of course. Watch this space when the N96 hits the stores!
