Looks like its about time, eh?

The sooner the better - at some point Nokia's marketing department will cut the prices generously, considering the Q1 "smartbombs" coming.

Hey i want to buy the N82 and am waiting for the prices to fall which has'nt happened till date! so when do you think the N96 actually starts shipping and will the price of other phones fall?
  • prices always fall. I can't believe you can get the n95 now here in the US for less than $400.
  • ricta
hey anup, come on man the price of the n82 is already low considering its features...
  • Anup
yeah agreed...but what to do :-) have become a heapo after spending a bomb on the N95 8GB and accessories and now the N82 accessories...think am gonna wait no longer...will buy the phone this week! and India INR 20, 000 is still quite a lot! you can get a 4th hand car for another 10/15 k or get a new bike or computer... :-)
  • NICCI
Don't bother with n82 its not that great am in UK and its free phone on12 months, only nice feature is its titanium, rest feature are all same.

    hm
have they changed it or is it a cover up

i just had my n96 and no 8gb card

  • Like I said, I ask the sender (Farfar.se) and they tell me that the micro-SD card will follow in some days (wasn't ready at expedition time)
  • john mortimer
  • john mortimer
"This FW is auto updatable from the handset" (Julien Pellegrain)
how do you go about doing that from within the phone
i.e. what menu, do you go into
  • john mortimer
sorry if you do a *#0000#
you can do it from there
  • john mortimer
also as there is no Manual includeded
you can download it from http://nds1.nokia.com/phones/files/guides/Nokia...
  • Andy Burgin
Why ? as took Nokia so long to get the N96 released as it got alot of people hyped up upgrading from the Black 8gb N95,i was one of them but now its dragged on to long i will either get the i8510 from Samsung or the N85 that looks alot better than the N96,Nokia could have changed the N96 an put a 8 mega-pixel camera on it as the N85 or N79 will sell alot better so the price of the N96 will drop down really quick to get people to sign up for it
  • john mortimer
    please read "why the n85"
best to keep with your n95 8gb as the n85 is crap to that phone, ho it got a oled, oh my god, just buy a iphone, as that also crap
  • john mortimer
    why the n85
    best thing is OLED
    and that it
it as a small screen (same size as the n95)
    i have used the n95 8gb and the n96
and the bigger screen makes up for the oled
also the n85 as crap phone internal memory
oh dear if the n95 is to go by
    so there
  • I heard a rumor (From a Nokia Rep) that they held back the release date due to doing a bundle package with one of the batman movies, is this still the case?
  • Oliver
The Limited Edition is bundled with Transformers, so it could be possible that Nokia has a exclusive deal with Warner Bros. but maybe it's just "Batman Begins"

And even the operators in Austria, which are posting release notes very late, have the N96 already in their shop system. Which is a little bit annoying for me, because I thought the limited edition is exclusive for about 1-2 months.

Did anybody already receive the Micro-SD card?
This was the only key-feature of the limited edition and this little crowded box, which looked really better at facethetask.com ;-)

Maybe we can open a N96 Lim. Edition facebook group to connect and share experiences.

    Cheers,
    Oliver
  • Nokia N96 Transformers edition? A little late isn't it?
