To Germany For Maemo Summit
I am heading to Germany, but don’t expect less posts here. What’s great about blogging is that I can be anywhere. I have been sponsored by Nokia/Maemo to join them at the Maemo Summit on the 19th and 20th. I will be learning more about the platform, the Nokia Internet Tablets like Nokia N810 or N800, where they’re heading, and what it means to customers like us.
I’m looking forward to the summit and will gather as much information as I can to blog here.
Fortunately, I will also have some free time to tour Berlin so I am really excited! If you have any recommendations of places to see and visit let me know in the comments below. I installed a German translator on my phone to help me out while I’m out and about. I’ll also report back how useful it is.
Mobility Rocks!
By the way, I am writing this post on my Macbook Pro at JFK airport using my Nokia N95 8GB’s internet connection via Joikuspot while I wait for my flight. Since I don’t want to arrive in Berlin with a drained battery, the phone is also charging while connected to my laptop’s USB port using the Nokia CA-100 cable.

Superb news Mark! I worked in Germany for a couple of years for Arcor Mannesmann, I was based in Frankfurt, well thats where our offices were based, but I worked in the field, so got to see most of Germany while I was there, we were building a new mobile phone network there.
Obviously, you have to go and see whats left of the Berlin Wall, theres still some left near the Hauptbahnof. The Victory Column (Siegessäule) is a must see too. If you get the chance, go to Berlin’s Zoological Garden, you will love it.!
have a great time Mark, look forward to what you have to show us when you get back.

Enjoy Mark. Berlin is fantastic (hope you are lucky with the weather)! And when you come back - do the right thing for once, dude, and spill EVERYTHING and wipe your.. err.. phone screen with the NDA!
