Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Initial Thoughts, Pictures, and Video Links
Yesterday was a big day for Nokia, announcing the 5800 XpressMusic. I compiled a list of links where you can absorb all the important info you need about the touchscreen device. I was actually surprised with the Nokia 5800, because it offers more than what I expected.

Nokia 5800 Specifications – This is the official specifications list for the Nokia 5800. This caught me off guard because this device will have 3 megapixel Carl Zeiss optics camera that records video at 30fps with 640×480 and 640×352 (widescreen) video. And yeah, it’s touchscreen too.
Nokia 5800 Video Demos from Nokia – These are video demos created and shared by Nokia. The interface looks nice and responsive. I’m impressed with whoever created these videos too. Take a look.
First Nokia 5800 hands-on thoughts, pictures, and/or videos by CrunchGear, Gizmodo, Engadget, Phone Scoop, Laptop Mag, and Symbian SmashPop.
Qik available directly on the Nokia 5800 – One of best programs from mobile phones, Qik announced their app can be installed directly from the Nokia 5800. Qik let’s you stream video live from the phone.

Looks pretty interesting to me.
I’m probably going to end up redirecting my Nseries fund over to this here 5800 haha.
Does it come with Wi-Fi? The Nokia site says no but a couple other review sites say yes.
Ravindra on 4 October 2008:
Hmm, the new OS seems interesting but not the Design,it isn’t impressively good when compared with the N/E-Series design line up.What do you think Mark??
Markz on 4 October 2008:
Ah nevermind, it does come with wi-fi.
It looks a bit thicker than I thought it would be. And I know some of the units used in short review videos were probably not production units, but it looks like the device is pretty slow to respond to touch inputs. One thing that bothers me is how there’s a delay in screen orientation changing when you turn the phone to the side.
Hopefully it’ll be MUCH faster overall when the production units come out.
