Nokia Map Loader for Mac is Out

Nokia Beta Labs announced this morning the beta release of Map Loader for Mac 1.0. I previously transferred maps on my Mac running Windows, but I no longer need to! This should make things easier for the Mac users.

You will also need to install Nokia Multimedia Transfer in order for the map Loader to work.

Here was my experience. I opened Nokia Multimedia Transfer and Map Loader, and connected the USB to my Nokia N95 8GB. Nokia Map Loader then tries to read the files on my phone before I can start using it. This took approximately 2 minutes. A little slow for me, but I’m an impatient person.

Usage is very simple. Just select region, drag it to the right, and start download. A progress bar tells you how much is left.

An extra for the Mac version that is not available on the PC version is the History feature. It tells you what you have loaded into your phone and when.
