Nokia N85 Unboxing By The Nokia Blog
I can finally throw away my Nokia N95 8GB…or sell it, because the real upgrade, the Nokia N85, is finally in my hands and unboxed. Watch the unboxing video to see what’s inside the package. I really like the stuff they included.
Note: If the video is not visible in your RSS reader, head on over to the blog.
Not only do I get the usual stuff like the phone, booklet, adapter, earphones, etc, but Nokia also included an 8GB microSD card, activation code for a free N-Gage game, 3 months of free voice navigation, and 8 tracks from the Nokia Music store. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to use the Music coupon in the US.
Now excuse me, while I play with my new toy and post more stuff later! By the way, it is currently charging through the USB port from my Macbook. Finally some real USB charging!

Nice!! Looks like we got the same packaging content.. I meant the extra stuff, not included on the OEM package..
Definitely a powerhouse device..
Do check my take on my 1st impression and my Unboxing Slide Show.

@ Jullian, Don’t worry, the N95-1 is still a top phone, and favoured by many people due to its MicroSD 16GB+ capabilities

The Nokia N85 available now works with US 3g… not the Nokia N96.

Hi all,
Iv’e just been reading about n96 coming with bbci player. I wonder if the n85 will do this? W hat a cool feature. You can even save the programs you watch on your memory card forever (not possible oniphone).
George.

The N85 looks very nice indeed. Being in Australia, we have to wait a further 2-3 months before we get the new handsets!
Considering a touchscreen N series is in the pipeline, I have to display some patience.
I’m in a dilema with deciding on a new phone. I absolutely adore my N95, but I love new gadgets and just want all the latest new stuff.
It helps that I work for a telco and get nice discounts on buying a handset outright so I’m not parting with too much cash
I’m excited for you though! Enjoy your new toy:)

Sure, I wrote a new post about turning on animation on Nokia N85, N96, or other FP2 devices.

Mark is the lack of 3g on the N96 the only reason you chose the N85 over it?

TJ, actually there are 5 reasons why I choose the N85 over the N96, but I’m currently testing the N96 as well. Maybe my mind will change? We’ll see.

N85 is the true N-GAGE device with 3d graphics accelerator and gaming keys.

Is there anything additional you have to do in order to use this phone in the US, such as flashing the firmware?
