You can press # to mark items such as pictures and texts. Press and hold # to highlight text to copy.

Also, you can use the "now playing" power saver display to show date and time. When the phone is playing music, the time and name of the song playing is displayed instead of the date.

iPlayer came pre installed on my UK N85 :)

The BBCi Player can be found listed under downloads on your N85. It is only pre-installed on the N96 (at the moment anyway)

does anyone know how to allow opera mini to connect via wifi? for some reason when i open opera mini it will only connect via data and will not give me the option of using wifi. anyone know where that setting is?

also, under themes there is a section called audio themes which lets you change all the sounds at once, but it also allows you to set sounds for many events such as opening and closing the slider, opening the menu, battery low or charging, etc.

Great post mark, people really wanna know the story behind the animations and settings, with the N78 everything is on by default, the animations and navi wheel.

A few more changes. the new Photos App, it can sort pcitures by pics you've taken from your phone, pics that you copied onto your phone, you can tag images and see them by a Month view...cool stuff and the video center on N78 is still the going round wheel where as on N96 and N85 its a list view.

The Gallery app is still there, however its not in the root of the menu by defult its in the Media folder, its still the same style excpt when you click on Pics it takes you to the Photos App and Videos it goes to Video Center.

And FP2 is really fast even with Animations, when the Animations are off its triple the speed of FP1 and this on N78 that only has 96mb on N85 and N96 its faster

Hi all,
Iv’e just been reading about n96 coming with bbci player. I wonder if the n85 will do this? W hat a cool feature. You can even save the programs you watch on your memory card forever (not possible oniphone).

Try this ...

*#0000# / press the left soft key and check for updates

You can see if there's a new version and install it from the standby screen which is quite handy.

A few more changes I found on my Nokia N85:

- Auto-rotate display is found in Settings - General - Sensor Settings

- Messages can be listened directly by selecting a message - options - Listen

- Video Centre is now in list instead of carousel view

- Vertical icon bar in standby
