How To: Make Shazam iD Work on Nokia N85, N96, N79, or Other FP2 Devices

I wrote earlier that Shazam iD is the most amazing app for Nokia S60. It lets you name any tune with the phone. However, I was shocked when I couldn’t get it to work on the Nokia N96 or the Nokia N85! After some trial and error, I found a way to make it work.

While Shazam iD is open, go to options – settings, then turn off Audio Alerts. That’s it. Shazam iD should now work on your Nokia FP2 devices like the Nokia N85, N96, or N79.

I’m glad I have this application running again. You have no idea how many times I found myself hearing some random song on the radio or the mall hoping to find out the artist and title.

after downloading shazam onto my Nokia E 66 I am unable to get the program to launch. Has anybody else had the same problem?

if you have problem downloaded from the shazams site, go to http://rapidshare.com/files/100726577/S60team.sisx
and dowloaded.it works. if says sertificate error put your phone date in 2007 and after you install it change it back

Will this work in France? I previously owned a sony ericsson which had a pre-installed application of the same principale which worked here in France.
So does anyone know if Shazam will work in France if not is there any alternatives?

i´m able to instal the program on my n96 but the shazam trys to consect to the server...after a few sec it tells me that it is not possible to connect...i also tried the trick with the date...nothing
i can not even change any settings , because i´m not able to start the program...

please help me!!

i downloaded the versions of n71 to n95 - all of them give me the same error: installation: security error, unable to install.

i also changed to extension type to sis from sisx...didnt work :(

worked for around 10 tags on my n85, now it gives me the “Error: Unable to get connection. Try again later.” is this the end of a trial version or it's just not working?

First: in application settings set - no audio alerts
Second : set always promt connection
third : erase in your wifi connections flagged access point - i mean that phone will ask every time whith wifi a.p. will use
