New Nokia E71 Ad For Web and Rogers Wireless Stores

Nokia really wants the general public to know about the Nokia E71. Blink Media Works just notified us that they recently completed production on a new video for the E71. It is intended for the web and some Rogers Wireless stores in Canada. The video is very straightforward showcasing the E71’s features.

The ad explains the Nokia E71 is the thinnest qwerty phone in the world, having quick access to contacts, calendar, and email. Nokia Maps and GPS navigation were also mentioned. Having released long time ago, I’m sure the loyal readers here already know about the features on the Nokia E71. You can read our Nokia E71 physical review and the Nokia E71 review from a business user for more info.

The Nokia E71 feels new again. What’s going on? I see a bunch of print ads around New York City, a new campaign site launching in a couple of days, and now a new video.

    @grfa,
    you might be right, but i doubt it.

    watch the video again, that is a flash. if it was light catching the mirror it would have caught the metal backing too. the actual flash lense would have picked up on the light as the phone turned and so would the silver material around the camera lense, but none of the other reflective areas did which tells me that it was a flash...it flashed because thats what flashes do...

    good to see rogers advertising this phone, but that commercial sucks.

    was that just me or did the self portrait mirror flash instead of the flash? lol, that is pretty bad...

    i think it would have been much more effective if they had gone over some of the benefits of the os or hardware instead of just listing specs. features dont mean much if the average user does not understand how these features are of benefit to them. the only way this ad will help move units is if people buy it based on how good it looks, which is a possibility with this phone.

    i still love mine and i have had one since the e71-1 was introduced

    @gdigenis,
    Uhh guys I think the mirror "flashed" because light reflected off of it. That's what mirrors do.

    @gdigenis,
    it wasn't just you. i reviewed it back and the mirror "flashed" instead of the flash.

    "What's going on?"

    It's got to be for the impending launch of the 71 for ATT. Why else would you create such demand and splash? They're getting ready to release it to the masses (optimistically). Nokia's also making those 2-year, $30-data-package contracts more palatable.
