Deal: Nokia N85 for North America $356 at Dell

The Nokia N85 is currently available at Dell at a very low price of $406 but add the coupon code W?P4$XVF51QSF5 to make it even better at $356. The coupon is suppose to expire on the 28th or after 1000 redemptions so I suggest buying it now because I guarantee it won’t go any lower than this anytime soon.

Nokia n85 at Dell

You might remember I got my Nokia N85 for only $336, but I had to wait 60 days for cash back. With this deal on Dell, there’s no waiting.

my n85 is going to be replaced will let you know how quality is on second one.. on first one i have the dreaded speaker loose connection/dropout issue.. thought i couldnt hear people becuase it was their phone till home called with full signal from a land line and i couldnt hear them. put it onspeaker phone it worked fine .. back on internal no sound..
then started tapping on top by speaker and the sound will come and go.. dell is sending areplacement should be here tues.. everything else was great on the phone.. to backup phone memory to card there is no memory app like previous versions .. use the file manager that comes with the phone ... also there is sometims a high pitched tone if plugging in charger when phone is off and you hit buttons before i starts charging.. this is a firmware bug..

you have to take battery out to get it fixed..

it is the n85-3 nam version..
some interesting info latest firmware but there is n tools/memory card app to backup/restore phone.. called up nokia support and they couldnt figure itout either apparently it is in the older f/w version.. finally i figure out the filemanager app can backup and restore phone memory... slider is solid and shakes less than my older n81 did.. screen i nice.. us 3g works.. battery life seems ok still waiting for extra batteries an external chargers from ebay so i dont have to us eht usb charger..

garmin works ok.. you have to set the highest priority media.net connection to not havea proxy for garmin online to work.

it also works fine with the bigger 16gb card i added... the only issue with this seems to be the same that was for my n81 you cannot read text messages if you set them to goto the 16gb card.. not sure why.. 8gb works ok..

Same question here. Is this n85-1 or n85-3? I need to use this phone in both Japan and U.S., and only the later n85 version seem to support both nations fully.

I'm curious as well to know what version they are selling? Are they selling the NAM version or the Euro version? Any1 received their N85 from Dell yet?

    Thanks for the deal alert!

For those who have bought from Dell in the past few days, have you received it yet?

Do you mind sharing what version is Dell selling? I think the version is on the white label on the box that says N85-1 or N85-3... something like that.

  • just pulled the trigger on mine. Had to go to walgreens to use my 4 prepaid visa cards (chirstmas gift) to buy a Dell Gift Card. Then i used that plus my credit card for the balance. N85 should be on its way though!

    PS
NJ also got charged sales tax.
  • @William J SIsti, lol finally caved in!
  • @Mark Guim, I couldn't resist USA 3G any longer. I got a taste with the N95-3 but couldn't stand its slow GPS locking. I am excited to get this new phone. Hopefully it will be here before friday's meetup.

I order one last night too. Came out to about $385 after tax for NYC buyers. I'm wondering if other buyers have to pay tax or is it just a NY thing? It's still a good deal and thanks for the good info.

Am using a N96 and heard the N85's hardware problems are fixed in the NAM version. I brought the N85 about 2 months ago with the MS Cashback as well for about $320. The first 2 N85 I had had wobbly slider and clicking key pads. One was a prototype unit and the other was the Asian version.

Oh, Congrats on the wedding Mark, it's a interesting thing to see a blogger getting married with live stream. This may become a trendy way of getting marry for people that have a lot of friends & relatives around the world. And how is your N85 doing after using it for a few months now, hows the hardware? Any wobbles or clicks on it?

    Thanks!

    hey guys.
Will the NAM version work in india? Would you advise buying one? I guess there would be no warranty et al. Just wondering because it is just too tempting ;)
