How Nokia Users Follow Twitter on Their Phones

I’ve previously written a guide on best ways to follow Twitter from your phone, but I was curious if my suggestions were actually being used. I asked my Twitter followers this past weekend how they use the service on their phones. Take a look at the responses I received.
thenokiablog: Survey: How do you follow twitter on your Nokia phone? I'll gather the responses and make a blog post with the results.

bcmurty: I use m.twitter.com from the broswer. I have yet to find a decent twitter client for my Nokia E71

johnintheuk: I use Twibble from my phone (6220 classic)

BillShepp: Generally use Tweetree.com via Opera Mobile to read (nice that it gives link previews), Twibble to post.

So from the responses I recieved, these were mentioned:
Now it’s your turn to respond. How do our blog readers follow Twitter on their phone? I currently use Dabr and love it.

I’m curious how you follow twitter… cause you’ve missed my reply, and I know my son replied too – but he ‘s not in your list either

@thenokiablog WirelessIRC + Twitter is my tool of choice. Previously I’ve used Twibble, m.twitter.com and m.slandr.net.

@Zenz, sorry about that. I tracked the tweet replies using Twickie. It looks for tweets that used “in reply to” original post. It seems your tweet did not have that and could not be found.
Chris on 17 February 2009:
I use slandr.net right now, just because it loads quickly and gives me the most basic functionality.
Blaxx on 17 February 2009:
I use Snaptu to follow Twitter.
Bas Heetebrij on 18 February 2009:
I use slandr as well, and am pretty happy with it.
Snaptu Twitter on 18 February 2009:
I use snaptu applications, it has twitter, facebook and sports
Leo on 18 February 2009:
@Bas Heetebrij, Dabr is like an updated version of Slandr. Try it!
Rerun_van_Pelt on 18 February 2009:
Twibble – there is nothing better in my opinion. And Thilo offers great personal support, just follow @twibble and he will answer your questions.
Andre on 18 February 2009:
I use Slandr and I like it. However this post has inspired me to check out some of the other clients
warzabidul on 18 February 2009:
Why did you have to add the screengrab of the tweets. You could have simply counted the totals and said that instead.
I use Dabr.co.uk, best I’ve found so far for the n95.
Tony on 18 February 2009:
Fring
Nigel Jones on 18 February 2009:
Fring … the current support is extremely basic, but apparently there’s a new plugin on the way.
twibble is more functional but is a little slow/clunky and isn’t a native S60 app (N96)
Aaron on 18 February 2009:
Twibble for sure. I use the twitpic (image attachment) almost daily. Snap a photo, tweet, append image and send! It’s also something that I don’t see in a lot of the other apps/devices implementing, making it somewhat unique.

@warzabidul, it’s not a screengrab and you can actually click on the tweets and follow the responders. I think I’ll be doing these kind of surveys more often. It lets me know more about my readers and hopefully let the readers know more about each other through Twitter.
Marc on 19 February 2009:
WirelessIRC – it’s missing some important features (a beep or vibration when a new tweet arrives would be nice, for example), but it’s the only native S60 Twitter app as of Feb 2009 that I’m aware.
MaXeR on 23 February 2009:
sometimes jibhib (J2ME app) .. sometimes Fring .. sometimes m.twitter.com
and wait to TwitS60 release ( http://code.google.com/p/twits60/ )

I have yet to try a twitter client I like on my E71. I just rely on SMS

fring. With fring it can make a different sound when you get a tweet
