There is a desparate need for a TUTORIAL, by no means is this app straight forward enough to be sure to get it working. Can’t get this stuff to work here like many others.

how do actually make it work? i downloaded the configuration settings for like 4x already.. then, still, the pixepipe option doesn't appear in the upload section in the gallery. i'm using 5800 btw. help.

I installed the widget on my N97 and, after restarting, finally managed to enter my login-data. Now I've downloaded and opened the .cfg-file about ten times (via the direct link, by pressing “Create configuration” in the widget and when prompted while trying to upload) and Pixelpipe appears in the “Send To” menu, but when I choose that, the browser opens, makes me download the .cfg-file yet again and then there's only the message “Waiting for the browser”. Any solutions for that?

do you have an actual pixelpipe widget on your home screen? if not do you have any widget devoted to sharing on your homescreen? i put the share online with ovi but its acting very strangely.. help me out

okay, the pixelpipe after-initial-setup page has a link for "download the application directly" or something similar.

click that for an alternate cfg, "pixelpipe-setup.cfg". opening that adds pixelpipe to shareonline.

then you have to open "pixelpipe-account.cfg" which activates your pixelpipe account in shareonline.

then youre golden!

hey. I cant make my 5800 work

all i can see from my phone browser is pixelpipe-account.cfg. downloading it and clicking it does nothing, browsing to the download directory and trying to open the .cfg does nothing.

please help! i really want pixelpipe

i have a 5800 from australia, shareonline version 4.0.08.49, symbian firmware version V 20.0.012.321.02

You can set a ‘routing tag’ for each service and simply type these tags on the title before you you upload. If I want to upload my photo to Facebook and Flicker only, I’ll type “@fb @fl Photo Title Here,” so it will only upload to those two instead of all default destinations.

how do i pick which of my pipes it uploads to. Currently it does all of them, (facebook, flickr, twitter, ovi, etc). Can I just upload to one?

This is so awesome. Thank you so much for posting this. I've been killing myself trying to figure out how to EASILY upload photos from my N85 to Facebook. iPhones and Blackberries have a dedicated Facebook application, what the heck Symbian community? Pixelpipe works perfect for my photo uploads. Yay!

Been using pixelpipe on the Nokia 5800. Just go to pixelpipe.com/nokia from your handset to get your Share Online client configured.

Does netlog have an email upload interface? If yes you can set them up with the email pipe. We allow you to send as if from your personal email address or from Pixelpipe if you prefer.

We'll also look into adding them as a dedicated destination if they have an API we can access.

i have one question. I really like this service, but how i can update facebook status with it?

i have set up everything correctly, photos and videos go to wherever i want to, bu it seems that i cannot goe update to facebook status. it would be great that there is some way from share online to do that (sime string in photo description or something)

We don't use your regular Pixelpipe password since the connection between the phone and are servers in unencrypted from Share Online. To protect your privacy we generate an application key for you that you can use in place of your password, the big advantage is that you're able to protect your account from unauthorised use.

You can find your private application key under settings after logging into pixelpipe.com.

We only host the media when the service you are posting your content to does not provide a hosting capability. This would include most of the blogs and micro-blogs out there that do not accept media uploads like WordPress & twitter. All other sites will get the original media at full resolution uploaded to them as if you'd sent the file yourself.

Ongoing we'll be offering a feature that will allow you to choose where your media will be hosted when needed, you'll simply just need to link your Photobucket, Flickr… account and we'll upload the files to the host and create your post for you. Believe me there's no advantage to us hosting the files since we do not charge for the hosting or advertise, we're just doing it as a service to our users.

Interesting. I think you are right about pixelpipe owning the photos that are sent to a blog or twitter, but photos sent to Facebook, Flickr, Share on Ovi are uploaded to those servers and not pixelpipe. Unless I'm completely missing something. I looked at the code.

Unfortunately I can't activate Pixelpipe from Ovi Share from my N95 8GB. I enter login data correctly and after hitting Sign in I get the same login page again and again

If you look at the code, the photo lives on PixelPipe and is forwarded to the other services. PixelPipe is not just making the link, they are hosting the photos as well, esp. if you are sending the photo to a blog.
