Looks really tasty in the picture – but totally unlike any Rogan Josh I have ever seen in the UK.

Not that this matters too much – most of the 'standard' curry dishes were re-invented in their current form by Indian and Pakistani chefs based in the UK and they differ widely from one restaurant to another – most of the stories of their origins are myths too – but who cares, as long as they taste that good

FWIW, if you eat in a UK Indian Restaurant, the Rogan Josh may well be quite spicy – it is not ususally all that 'mild' over here

I can't handle spicy food anymore lol.

However, the restaurant is around the block from Brick Lane Curry which supposedly makes the spiciest curry. The cook wears a gas mask while preparing the dish.

I don't know about Haveli in NYC but in general , indian restaurants in USA tend to be less spicier

Pictures are great enough Was like, “huge chicken you guys have there”, but it's just fresh bread
