Nokia N97 Preview By Lester Chan
May 20th, 2009 • Mark Guim • Filed Under •
As we get closer to the Nokia N97′s release date, some lucky people have been getting early access to the highly-anticipated device. Lester Chan, creator of very popular WordPress plugins, brings us his Nokia N97 preview from Nokia Singapore’s office. As you can tell, I’m very excited about the N97. Check it out.

Here’s an overview of Lester Chan’s Nokia N97 hands-on preview:
- Felt solid when I got my hands on it.
- There are a lot of interesting applications/widgets that you can place on the home screen such as Facebook, Stocks, Weather, etc.
- Scrolling or “flickering” is not as smooth as iPhone.
- Felt that it is more responsive than the iPhone.
- Typing on the mini QWERTY keyboard is quite smooth.
You can read the whole article here: Nokia N97 Blogger Preview. Can’t wait? A pre-order is available at Nokia’s site for full retail price or head to Amazon for discounted Nokia N97 at $604 USD.

Nokia nowdays are letting its customers down,by announcing there mobiles to early an your waiting ages to get them released, the other produces see the Nokia mobile an release a much better mobile that keeps you thinking is it worth waiting for the Nokia mobile or choose the alternative mobile, the N97 as now only just been listed as becoming available in June, but Samsung have now announce a 12 mega-pixel camera mobile for June,so if the N97 doesn”t match its hype ,loads will buy the other mobile instead,so Nokia please stop announcing your mobiles to early, its a big mistake from you

I agree w/Andy. Just when I was ready to buy an N95 8gb, word of an N82, surfaced. So, I waited for it, then Nokia leaks & word of an n97, then N86. Nokia is unable to realize the full potential of any model. It created buyer's remorse within weeks of having a new device. Look at the (far more inferior) iPhone. Apple allows it to reach it's sales potential. Apple allows its buyers to be happy with their purchase for a while. …Apple gets more sales per/design. That must save money. Additionally, if Nokia ever expects to sell their high-end units in The States, it will have to give the memorable names like Pre, Bold, iPhone, Storm. Finally, Nokia needs better ads & product placement. .
