My N97 keeps on restarting with red & Blue lines with vertical and sometimes horizontal. can some one tell me how to overcome with this issue.

Got my N97 a few days ago and loved it, loaded all my photos / videos / music etc, then it jammed on 'locked'. the keylock switch wouldn't work at all and I couldn't even turn the phone off. I had to get someone to phone me – which then gives you the option to unlock using the touch screen. As soon as it automatically locked again the same thing happened. I contacted the seller and have arranged to have it replaced – however, since then it has behaved perfectly. I then began to wonder if the problem had occured as the battery was low….have seen the comments above and see that the key lock switch is a definite weakness and now not sure whether I need to replace the phone for a hardware fault or if its likely to happen on any N97. Has anyone else noticed the problem when the battery is low in particular?

I used all Communicator-Typs of Nokia and thought to print mails with the N97 as well. But there is no possibility. Does anybody knows a tool to print over the air (e.g.bluetooth)?

My N97 screen switch lock is annoying, it doesnt work properly. It doesnt lock the phone when i slide the button and vice versa.

I bought a black N97, and after 2 weeks, when i use the slider, the screen goes blank, sometimes it comes on, sometimes i have to close the slider and use the phone with out the key pad…i have tried to upgrade the firmware,but to no resolve. Very very dissapointing.

The screen lock is loose on mine as well, I'm not sure it will hold up for 2 years.I only got mine yesterday so i've got 5 days to make my mind up on this phone.
Other than the screen lock( also hit and miss sometimes) i like the phone a lot.

I found that the lock key on my N97 is rather loose, Im afraid that I might break in in time. Not sure if this just with mine, or general problem with N97.

Top notch review, not over the top and not too basic. Have personally ordered the RM-507 (American) model as it is the only model that work on the Telstra 3G network in Australia (850MHz & 2100MHz UMTS). Look forward to seeing what else you have to say on this matter.

I have the White NAM N97, it has all the problems you mentioned ! plus, if you open the YouTube site (Desktop Version) and play a video the phone will close all opened programs including the Widgets !!! and plays the Video Smoothely ! once you close the browser it will re open the widgets related programs only !!

For the Photo browser, I cant view Photos on my N97 on full resolution as the phone allways gives me a low resolution image and when you hit the zoom it will enlarge it but still with low resolution !!! it only works if you restart the phone but eventually after somtime the problem will come again !!!
