I'm a mobile power user as well that's why iphone is not for me too! I love taking better pictures indoors, outdoors and at night and post them on the internet while chatting, checking facebook and reading emails. This I can only do in nokia. The battery power in nokia is good too.

Is that why Nokia owners in countries such as Saudi Arabia and India can't use Flickr in the Nokia Share Online v4 tool?
The flickr cfg file will not work. and many people are complaining http://betalabs.nokia.com/forums/share-online-4
but they are in what nokia considers “lesser” countries…
oh yeah, and the N97 is sold for $260 more in Saudi Arabia than Malaysia and US… just wanted to get it off

Any serious mobile fan will never use iPhone. I mean its a complete kiddish teenagers phone who loves to play with icon animation rather than do anything serious. If you are really serious in mobile tech then you have to buy a Nokia. There is a reasons why they are still number 1 even after loosing some market share.

Nokia's Hardware will always rain supreme on paper. I just got the 16gb 3G S (don't forget the space) after using my N82 for about a year on T-Mobile. Multi-tasking is awesome on S60 and we all know the N82 camera speaks for itself. Without a NAM the 3G envy i had just drove me to the iPhone even when currently owning an iPod Touch. The truth is there is no such thing as perfect device. If you are media creator Nokia is best, but if you are a media consumer and APP fiend Apple would better suite your needs. I know after trying out other OS' andriod being next for me. I may settle with the E72 as my ultimate phone. I was more excited about that than the N97. Call me crazy.

For once, this is an iPhone/competitor blog post that I enjoyed reading. It's good to see someone that understands that it's not about being the “better” device, it's about matching features with needs. I'm also photo-centric so my trusty N82 is always by my side but the iphone can be equally suited to someone with different interests.

I'm not trying to compare the devices based on one point. I'm simply saying
that I like my Nokia phones better based on my particular usage. I also love
the browser on the iPhone and it kicks Nokia's ass with the UI.

I hear you on that, Mark. I just got an iPhone 3GS the other day, and it is somewhat annoying to have to sit and watch the progress bar instead of uploading it in the background.

Realize, too, that I have been a long-time Nokia fan. I was a big fan of my N75, N95, N95 8GB, and was psyched for the N97!

What finally made me jump to the iPhone camp is that you've got to look at the big picture. Look at your example here. With an N97, yes, I can upload to Pixelpipe in the background. But I can't separate my personal and work calendars, and the N97's touch UI is not as responsive.

I don't think it's fair to compare two devices on one single point like this.
