Nokia N97 Photos from Green Papaya Thai Restaurant
Judging from past photos, it’s sometimes better to leave the flash off when taking photos inside a restaurant. We had lunch at Green Papaya Thai restaurant and had the Nokia N97 to take photos of the food. There was a large window behind me with enough light coming in. I made sure to force the Nokia N97 to keep the flash off. Take a look.
The photos below were taken with a Nokia N97 Euro (RM-505) with firmware v11. The camera settings were on auto mode with flash off.

It’s been a while since I had Thai iced tea, and Green Papaya reminded me how much I liked it.

We ordered calamari as one of our appetizers. It looked like onion rings and there are better-tasting ones from other places.

Our table also had tofu with peanut sauce for appetizer. I don’t usually eat tofu, but it was pretty good with the sauce.

I usually order curry in a Thai place so I was glad someone else ordered pepper steak. Sweet and not too spicy. I liked it.

I ordered chicken panang curry. It’s creamy and not too spicy. I used to love spicy food, but I can’t handle them anymore.

The third entree on the table was vegetable massaman curry. It’s also a mild curry with a hint of coconut. Not bad. I’d order it with chicken or beef though.
Thoughts
The photos look a little off on white balance. I believe it’s because of two conflicting light sources. There were a bunch of light bulbs (incandescent) around inside the restaurant and a large window behind me letting in light from the cloudy outdoors. You can pick a white balance setting in the Nokia N97 camera instead of leaving it on automatic. Picking one of the two would have resulted in more consistent photos.
