Vlog: Nokia N97 vs iPhone 3GS Hardware

I just got the iPhone to play with, so look out for plenty of comparisons with Nokia devices especially the Nokia N97 in upcoming posts and videos. Let’s start out with the hardware stuff as I compare the physical aspects of the two phones.

Quick Hardware Evaluation

  • The iPhone’s size feels better in the pocket because it is thinner.
  • Physical keyboard on Nokia N97 makes the iPhone slower to type on. A lot of spelling errors as I type on iPhone.
  • Missing dedicated camera button on iPhone makes it harder to take action and self-portrait photos.

In upcoming posts and videos, I’ll compare specific usages with the software on the iPhone 3GS vs Nokia N97. It should be very interesting so stay tuned!

    I like the Nokia N97 more. The camera is better, the only negative is the quality of the screen :) .

    sorry, but you could go deeper in hardware evaluation… You just said about camera, grip, and buttons, you could talk about GPS, Compass, Touch sensibility, accelerometer, brightness sensor, speakers volume and so on.

    Unfortunately, I must say you really could go deeper. Many things to compare… that's not enough… better luck next time! :(
