Nokia N97 Cityman Antitheft Device Keeps Pick-Pockets Away

The Nokia N97 is about $600 US dollars so it could be a target for pickpockets. Guest contributor Al and I received packages from WOM World Nokia that protect us from sneaky criminals by disguising our valuable (and beautiful) phones as really huge brick phones from the 1980’s. Take a look.

You can also watch this video in HD on Youtube.

Our very own contributor, Al customized his Cityman Nokia N97 with a very familiar ringtone.

We feel a little safer carrying our Nokia N97 Cityman Antitheft device around. Who would even think of touching these bricks?

Holy crap guys- take it easy. It's not a real product- just a joke! Lighten up. :-)

At any rate, I made a little 'product demo' video with mine-

    Remember- it's a joke!

How do you add a clips to a contact so it plays when the person calls? Is it only in N97?
  • Man, you guys are so negative. This thing is just for fun.
  • hehe some people still don't know it's a joke.
  • ROFL!
    Hillarious :-)

And I agree. If also served as a charger it could be used as a phone holder for the car. Would really extent on the "retro" feel when those bricks where called "car phones".

This is the stupidest thing i've ever seen on this blog. Absolutely useless and wud attract more eyeballs to my phone. Agree word to word with Cosmo.

Nice, those things can become collector's item. So keep it safe. With a black N97 it would look pretty cool.
  • Cosmo
First u look stupid with that double brick. Second: how heavy is it? Third: a smart thief might thing it's valuable because is a collector piece :)
I see only disadvantages for this "device" :)
  • tanoh
