Video How To: Setup Google Sync on Nokia N97 (or other phones with built-in MfE)

I’ve received plenty of messages asking how I set up Google Sync on my Nokia N97 so I made a video guide for those who haven’t done it yet. The new E-mail wizard with built-in Microsoft Exchange on newer Nokia phones like the Nokia E75 and Nokia N97 makes it easier than ever. Follow the video so you can have synchronized contacts and calendar on your phone.

You can also watch this video in HD on Youtube.

Google’s text instructions can also be found here. I hope this video helps! As always, you can leave a comment or question for additional help.

Yeah nice video.... Great app also... apart one important thing: the icon "Mail exchange doesn't appear!!!! I've downloaded the Nokia Messaging 10.0 and it seems that Mail exchange isn't "built in"... When I go to Nokia business to download it they have registered the N97... pretty upset....
  • Perfect. Just what I was looking for. The Google apps are awesome so something that lets me sync my PC, laptop and phone is spot on. Conducting business on the go is the future. Still need to sort out that I am paying connection fees for home broadband (monthly payment), a pay as you go mobile broadband connection and a cheapish mobile phone tariff. It all adds up!
  • Can this work on a 2G network with GPRS enabled by the network provider??

    Great blog thanks!
One question, I am changing over from Nokia 6280 to N97. How can I sync the 6280 first (to upload contacts to Google)? Any idea?
    Many thanks!
