Hahlo is an Awesome Twitter (Web) App on the Nokia N900

I’ve been using Dabr on the Nokia N900 for my Twitter needs, but I stumbled upon a better web app called Hahlo. There’s no need to download anything since it’s accessible through the web browser. I’m surprised at the features it offers like auto-refresh, inline photos, inline replies, tweets near me, OAuth login, and more.

You don’t even need to read this review since you can quickly head over to the site from your current browser to see for yourself. I’ll highlight the 6 things I love about Hahlo.

#1 If a tweet is a reply to another, pressing “in reply to” shows the reply on the same page.

#2 Tweets with photos like twitpics or flickr are shown.

#3 I can choose how often my timeline automatically refreshes and new tweets become highlighted for a moment.

#4 Access to more options like tweets near me, trends, and advanced search.

#5 It’s customizable. Settings allow you to hide/show or turn on/off features.

#6 Options to retweet, reply, favorite, or direct message by clicking on a tweet.

Hahlo is a great example of how we really don’t need to install applications to get what we want. The browser is a powerful all-in-one app. It looks great on the Nokia N900.

    hello Mark
i'm having a trouble with this application recently. i put this application on my desktop as a shortcut. the problem is it doesn't go to my timeline straight away when i open it. now its going to login page instead of timeline. so i have to press login then it brings me to twitter's sign in page (https://api.twitter.com/oauth/authenticate?oaut...), then i can see my timeline. but password reminder is saved my password already. i didn't install any applications and change my settings. but my friend's n900 is doing it right like my before. i hope you guys will help me on it. i am so struggling with it.
    sorry for bad english
    thank you
  • hmm, i miss some basic functions:
insert images into twitt (direkt upload and link them to twitpic) and make urls shorten! is this posible??
  • If you're using the Nokia N900, then sharing photos to twitter is better when using the Camera's share feature with the pixelpipe plugin.
  • Wow, this appears to be brilliant, I'm so happy I happened to see a link to this post under your post about Power Twitter. Although I love Power Twitter on my PC, I think Hahlo might be my choice for my N900 I'm waiting on in the mail. THANKS!!!
  • wow, I was looking for one client and here ya hiding that one :)
  • is it possible to call it power twitting hahlo? :D
  • I think this is better than PowerTwitter.

Majority of apps apple brags about are interfaces to existing websites. Apps so 1990s. As google will say, the web has won !

Wow! The twitter apps for N900 on Maemo 5 is very nice and pratical.

Don't know will it be available for Symbian OS platform?

It is not an app. It's just a web site. It just shows that with a great browser, you don't need that many apps.

You can just try the site with your S60 browser and see how well it fares. Maybe it works but probably not as smoothly as on the N900.
