WikiHow itself is not a large program. Its the the qt4 webkit library dependency that takes 3-4mb on rootfs. But this does not slowdown the N900 startup in any way.

Not sure.. I haven't noticed slower startup after the installation. The images seem to load only if the phone is connected to the internet, so I don't think big media files are stored in the device.

I heard that WikiHow will used up alot of root space and potentially makes N900 startup slow. Is it true?

Who cares about the Ovi Store when you maemo's extra's repo. Between extras, extra-testing and devel you could spent all day trying different apps.
