That is one hell of a changelog. Quite a few surprises & new stuff in there for me.
What exactly is Ovi Sync 2, Rihanna service launches, Hurriganes Music Player, Cherry 2.1. Nice to see Nokia finally adding support for Windows 7 Device Stage.

But QuickOffice 4.2? Isn't the latest version @ 6.2? AFAIK, 4.2 doesn't support Office 07 docs. Kinda lame that a device doesn't support 4 year old file formats!

I have update my mobile Nokia 5800 with the latest firmware yesterday and i had the following issues

1. When i select the Contact Bar option from my Settings->Phone->Home Screen. The contact bar size & resoultion is too big and 4 contacts does not fit on the screen

2. Media button does not show me all my songs and playlist, wheras i can view all my songs through the new search ->internet & my content on my Home screen

3. Sometimes the media button hangs

4. Alarm does not snooze or stop, it keeps ringing and gets hung up

5. I do not have any new music player as mentioned

Does anyone have similar issues

New Media player is great. shows album art next to the song and also shows a letter to show which part of the alphabet your in. New ovi sync. haven't noticed much else really. A few icon changes here and there

hey there..i'm using the version 50..like most said..theres no get Rihanna and QuickOffice..i don't think Get Rihanna matters much to me..however Quickoffice is a great help..u can get it for free of course u need the to hack ur phone and have the hacked .SIS file..u can also get a adobe reader for more than 11 000 000 days trial license (mine is showing 11709559 days left)..u need to have the patch for this to work..besides that u can also get a kaspersky mobile 9 with a license till 2049..

try to update ur phone again..if using NSU does not help..(sumtimes this happens) try using nokia ovi suite..u can also try a hard reset by *#7370# (same as restore factory setting). if none work u can download the firmware via nivifirm / JAF..install the firmware using phoenix or nokia care suite..can't help on this..u can google it

I did the OTA update. It took about six minutes to install, excluding the download time. When it finished I received two system error messages.

This makes much better use of the homescreen; totally will not be recognized by Ovi Music, on device music player took six hours to locate to add my on-microSDHC music library. Continues to have the looping MTP device found error in Windows XP. Scrolling is much smoother. The haptic response feels a little bit different, softer.

i am still stuck with V40 i would love to update to V50 but i need to debrand it. I have all the tools but im not sure wich code is rite for me. I installed v5.0 firmware. Although it keeps all your info and settings I had to do a hard reset 3 times. I lost WiFi setup + The screen flickered a lot and every time I tried the internet the phone shut down and re-started. 3rd Hard reset had everything working. I didn't get Quick Office though? Was hoping I would. Also Nokia have updated the music software but still you can't browse by folder so I'm back to Power MP3. I also seem to have more internal memory, 73.5meg against the 60 meg from v4.0 update.

dude…. Its even better now. The full screen big QWERTY keyboard has not gone anywhere, it is still there, just select the alphanumeric keypad and then rotate the phone horizontally and you will see the fullscreen QEWRTY keyboard again. It is more intutive now….
