guys….one important info….for almost six months i have been checking the software update for my 5800…but the nokia software updater said that i dont have any update available and my v40 firmware is the latest …. recently i checked it again and it said the same thing …so i tried updating my phone software over the air …through mobile internet…i finally got my update in as fast as 10 mins…so dont wait for the pc update go for the over the air update..its fast and secure….i personally guarantee it

can some one help me…i dont understand why my phone wont update…. i tried with the phone it self…it just says processing on the scrreen and doesant do nothing i left it for 2 hours with it and nothing…. and on my computer using the software it says you phone is up to date but i have version 4 on it… and it doesant let me to update to 5…can enyone help?

I'm back to Power MP3. I also seem to have more internal memory, 73.5meg against the 60 meg from v4.0 update.

hey people do not update the firmware v51… It jus eats the battery like anythin… hav noticed that the battery performance has reduced upto 25% due to which i gotta charge ma phone daily… I jus hate it ! seeking for a bette solution for this… so ppl help me with this… plz…

I didn't get Quick Office though? Was hoping I would. Also Nokia have updated the music software but still you can't browse by folder so I'm back to Power MP3. I also seem to have more internal memory, 73.5meg against the 60 meg from v4.0 update.

The full screen big QWERTY keyboard has not gone anywhere, it is still there, just select the alphanumeric keypad and then rotate the phone horizontally and you will see the fullscreen QEWRTY keyboard again.

Yes, I agre, it is a battery hog, without notice my phones goes dead (battery discharged with minimum use) any to downgrade or Nokia may fix this bug?

I installed v5.0 firmware. Although it keeps all your info and settings I had to do a hard reset 3 times. I lost WiFi setup + The screen flickered a lot and every time I tried the internet the phone shut down and re-started. 3rd Hard reset had everything working. I didn't get Quick Office though?
