Nokia N8 Full Specifications Leaked. The Next Camera Flagship?

We weren’t impressed by the lack of specifications listed in Mobile Review’s Nokia N8 preview, but Unwired View has come through with a rumored internal spec sheet. The device has not been officially announced, so this could be inaccurate or not up to date. Check it out.

Nokia n8 Spec Thumb

Click on the image above for a copy of the spec sheet. Some highlights include:

  • Symbian^3
  • 680MHz CPU and 256MB RAM
  • WCDMA 850/900/1700/1900/2100 and GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900
  • 3.5” OLED, capacitive touch screen, 640*360 resolution
  • Battery: BL-4D 1200mAh (inbox), up-to 7.7/5.4 2G/3G talk time

The battery has a smaller capacity than other high-end devices like the Nokia N97 with 1500mAh and the Nokia N900 with 1320mAh. The CPU and RAM also fall below the competitors’ superphones that feature 1GHZ and 512MB. People will argue that Symbian^3 will run more efficiently than other platforms, hence the lower specs. I hope they’re right, because nobody wants a slow-performing device.

While the internal specs of the Nokia N8 may disappoint a few power users, cameraphone fans will be satisfied. There’s a 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss wide angle lens and Xenon flash to light up your friends at the bar. It takes HD videos too.

If the specs listed here are true, those who waited for a worthy successor to the king of cameraphones, the Nokia N82, have something to look forward to.
