Meego Handset UI Shown On Video & Screenshots
Today is Meego Handset Project Day 1. I’m not exactly sure what that means, but it’s explained here. We don’t expect to see new handset devices running Meego until after October, but they’ve provided some screenshots and video for us to preview.
Prototype Nokia RM-626 Gets More Exposure on Video
Negri teased us earlier with 3 photos of an unnamed prototype Nokia device, but now they deliver a 4-minute hands-on video. It says Nokia C0-00 on the back of the device, but the model info within the phone settings shows N00. Whatever it’s called, this device is certainly getting attention from Qwerty keyboard-lovers.
Nokia Pokes at iPhone 4 Reception Problems
The Nokia Conversations blog are poking fun at the recent iPhone reception issues, by asking, “How do you hold your Nokia?” They listed the thumb and finger, cup, balance, and the four edge grip. The point is that there’s no signal loss no matter how you hold a Nokia.
Nokia N9 or N8-01 Leaked. Symbian, 8MP Camera, Qwerty Keyboard
Negri Electronics just landed on a fresh Nokia prototype. They’re calling it the Nokia N9, but I’m guessing it’ll be called an N8 variation (maybe Nokia N8-01) because of its strong resemblance to the Nokia N8. Three photos were provided, but they promise to share the rest of the story soon.

I was at Digital Experience in New York City last night to check out the latest products in consumer technology from various brands. I was glad to see Nokia in attendance, showing off the Nokia Nuron, Nokia E73, and a pre-production Nokia N8 (it was labeled C0).

Its presence in the Ovi Store now makes it even easier for users to download this great app.
Nokia N8: Will 256MB RAM Be Enough for Multitasking?
iPhone users rejoice today as they finally get a taste of multitasking. Nokia users have been doing it for a while now, but with certain limitations. Running too many multiple apps in the background results in “memory full” errors. Previous Nokia N97 and N96 power users are aware of this. Is the Nokia N8′s 256MB RAM memory enough for multitasking?

A research senior analyst at Digitimes reported that Nokia is currently preparing to launch a tablet with the Meego OS. The analyst believes that it will be released during the fourth quarter of 2010. He added that 100 engineering samples were already completed for testing.
Time Out Adds Its Service to Ovi Maps
If you check the “More” option in your favorite Nokia phone’s Ovi Maps, you’d probably notice the current addition of the Time Out service. It suggests events, restaurants, and films depending on the time and your location. Sounds great, but it’s currently only useful if you’re located in one of the 7 regions supported.
