All Nokia Phones in 2011 To Come with NFC
Anssi Vanjoki, Nokia’s Executive VP for Markets, announced at Mobey Forum on Thursday that all new Nokia smartphones from 2011 will come with Near Field Communication (NFC). This technology can be used to turn our devices into transportation tickets, debit cards, or even as house keys. Sounds cool, right?

According to NFC World, Vanjoki did not share details about the upcoming devices at the forum, but promised to give more information soon. Should we expect an announcement at Nokia World this September?
This is not the first time NFC was mentioned by Nokia. In 2009, Nokia announced the 6216, an NFC-enabled phone, but decided not to produce it.
“The quality of the consumer experience was not what it needed to be,” explained Mark Selby, Nokia’s VP of industry, about the cancellation. It seems they feel it’s ready for 2011.
