Engadget goes hands-on with the Aava Mobile Virta 2 prototype that is capable of running the upcoming Meego OS. It costs about $2,393 per unit for developers and probably will not see the mass production phase. What seems to make the nerds jump with excitement is that the Virta 2 is based on the Intel Moorestown CPU that can run up to 1.9GHz.

Engadget says the Virta 2 feels rugged and include sensors (compass, accelerometer, ambient light and proximity) alongside quad-band radios, WiFi, Bluetooth and a pair of cameras for video chat. Nokia will be releasing a Meego device later this year, but no leaks or images of the hardware have shown up yet.
