Spotted: Meego on Aava Virta 2 Prototype Kit

Engadget goes hands-on with the Aava Mobile Virta 2 prototype that is capable of running the upcoming Meego OS. It costs about $2,393 per unit for developers and probably will not see the mass production phase. What seems to make the nerds jump with excitement is that the Virta 2 is based on the Intel Moorestown CPU that can run up to 1.9GHz.

Video: Eldar Murtazin Denies Everything & TechCrunch Loves iPhone

Mobile insider Eldar Murtazin has gone on video with TechCrunch to say that he did not have Nokia’s prototype N8, did not receive Nokia’s letter for its return, and is not a current consultant to their competitors. Watch the whole video, and look out for surprising comments from TechCrunch like, “This isn’t the iPhone. I mean, who cares about Nokia?”

Carrypad just scored a Meego prototype phone made by Aava Mobile. They promise to give more details in the next 48 hours. We’re warned that the Meego software is alpha quality, but at least the wifi and browser are working. You don’t need reminding that Nokia plans to deliver their first Meego device this year.
