You were probably surprised when people lined up for the Nokia C3 in Indonesia, but it looks even crazier when the affordable messaging smartphone launched in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam on Sunday. About 7,000 buyers supposedly showed up where only 5,000 units were available. There’s a video you definitely have to watch.

The Nokia C3 is the first Series 40 device with a full QWERTY keyboard. It includes Nokia Messaging which gives users access to Ovi Mail, Ovi Chat, and SMS chat. It’s billed as an affordable smartphone aimed at the younger audience.

The Nokia C3 has a 2 megapixel camera and comes in gold, slate, and hot pink. It was sold for 2,799,000 VND which is approximately $147 USD.
